  1. I am not sure you are right about the statists relating to knife crime this year but my point was directed at others who take issue when you point out the disparity between one group of people committing serious crimes like murder and rape and another group. You would think it would be a no brainier but there are still those on here who seem to think that there are differences. I raised the issue about the Maidstone stabbing because some people on here thought it was hilarious when I posted about the indigenous violence in our town centres. I think one wag even pretended that I was liking Maidstone to Syria! You don’t have to look very far on social media to see where some people are coming from. We will see how much we are progressing as a society when criminal activity is not defined by the colour of the perpetrators skin or their religious beliefs.
  2. Perhaps, if some people shared the same level of moral outrage for all of the pointless murders on our streets, it wouldn’t be necessary? Or perhaps you should think a bit more about what is going on and comment on that?
  3. Why shouldn’t it. The regular stabbings and violence on the streets of our towns and cities is something to be concerned about isn’t it? These happen on almost a daily basis yet don’t cause the same attention as the occasional terrorist attacks. Funnily enough, I knew exactly who would respond to my post.
  4. A while back I made a comment about the regular violence on the streets of Maidstone to the obvious mirth of the usual suspects on here who prefer to take the **** than deal with the clear problems in our society. At 3am on Sunday morning a mass brawl broke out leaving one man stabbed to death and four others hospitalised. These things happen on a regular basis in towns across the UK and no one bats an eyelid. You can bet your life that if the perpetrator had shouted “god is great” there would be a huge uproar. The ****takers who seem to think Muslims murdering non believers is somehow worse than a local **** sticking a knife into someone should have a long hard look at themselves. And next time you drag up my comment about Maidstone think of those who have lost a loved one through the routine violence carried out on our streets by people of our own backgrounds.
  5. You do know that we won 2-0 don’t you?
  6. I’m no expert but it must be possible to ensure that anyone signing up to social media platforms have to provide proof of identity at point of entry. Re data collection, isn’t there a law protecting personal data?
  7. By removing anoyminity?
  8. Not for the first time, you completely miss the point Delldays.
  9. Yet it has been all over the general media this week so it seems to be an issue to some. Yes, it isn’t new, but the point is what is going to be done about it. It is still too easy for people to hide behind the anonymity of of PC keyboard. Make people more accountable for their actions and perhaps it will help get rid of internet trolls.
  10. This thread is about racism in football. 3 players this week have missed penalties and have received a flood of racists abuse on social media. Not worth commenting on? Oh and Batman, I know that you are not the sharpest knife in the draw, but there has been widespread discussion about how casual racism by major politicians could be encouraging closet racists to speak up. I know you don’t have a problem with racists and probably think that this isn’t an issue.
  11. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but it seems that missing a penalty now means that bigoted keyboard warriors think it is okay to hurl racist abuse at the perpetrators. Still, guess when you see two of the most powerful figures on the planet casually using racist language and comments I guess the knuckle draggers think that it is ok to do likewise.
  12. Just as well he isn't the manager/coach then. So looking to the positives. According to TalkSport this morning we are 1000-1 to win the league. Burnley are 2500-1.
  13. Whatever you think of the new kit (and I don’t mind it) it is not as bad as Leicester’s away kit. I have nothing against pink, but that is just wrong.
  14. I think I read somewhere that he let his contract run down and left on a free.
  15. That’s the trouble though. It isn’t. He honestly believes the tripe he writes.
  16. As are your constant digs at the club Kermit. Perhaps try to be a bit more balanced in your views? The constant nit-picking and apparent need to find fault is beyond tiresome.
  17. Was there a problem last year? The issue this year appears to be with the logo, not the shirt. Perhaps you should find out who is responsible for that instead of launching a pointless attack on UA.
  18. I didn’t hear that. I heard that he wanted the club to get itself straight first.
  19. QUOTE=ALWAYS_SFC;2753667]And we had some who wrote of Pelle as a statue you beat me to it!
  20. Yes, apart from those games.
  21. Those who made the decision to buy him, I assume, have seen him play. The point is that some people here just seem to want the worst to happen. Remember how Mane was slagged off when he first started?
  22. He clearly thinks that Stephens is a better option than Yoshida and to be fair, skills wise there is not much between them. I would say that Yoshi has the better mental attitude but neither are Premiership quality. Hoedt and Vestergaard are both internationals too remember. When we bought these players we clearly thought that they would be good enough. Some players just don’t seem cut out for Premiership football. There are also decent players who do well in the Premiership and then lose form. Torres is a major example. In our case, Ings can play but seems to have lost it after injury. Lovren was great for us but lost it at Liverpool. Any manager would struggle with the CBs we have.
  23. He kept us up. No mean feat given how poor we were under Hughes.
  24. Perhaps it is. But here’s a thought. Perhaps watch him play before you write him off?
