The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.
sadoldgit replied to CB Fry's topic in The Lounge
As millions of people voted for Trump, so we have lots people here who are stupid enough to vote for Johnson. Never under estimate the lack of moral backbone from people of that persuasion. Lying, ineptitude, incompetence all count for nothing so long as you tell people what they want to hear. Trump and Johnson stars have aligned and two once mighty nations are now an embarrassment. That dyed in the wool Tories are bailing on Johnson tells you all you need to know about this current administration. He has one thing going for him, leaving the EU come hell or high water, on 31st October. Apparently that is all it takes for shed loads of people to support you. The further right you go, the easier it is to get people to swallow your bull****. -
You can tell he is doing a good job from seeing where the criticism is coming from.
-
Theresa May must be lapping this up. She was the most inept PM in my lifetime up until a few days ago but already Johnson has stolen her title. He could even end up being worse than Trump and that takes some doing. You have to feel for Duckie though. After a great deal of consideration he gave his vote to Boris. He must be wishing that he was dead in a ditch this morning.

Technically the Monarch can choose whoever they want as PM. Technically.

When your own brother jumps ship you know you are screwed.

Paul Ince is suggesting that clubs should be thrown out of Europe or sat least having points docked in order to deal with racism. It has been going on far too long and perhaps draconian measures are now called for.
-
Absolutely! To quote a famous saying, “You couldn’t make it up!”
-
Dominic Cummings, a case of life imitating art?
-
Clearly they have been misunderstood. What has been perceived as racism has just been respect all along!

Rees-Mogg and Johnson continue to show contempt for Parliament and the people they are supposed to serve, but it is good to see that some members of the Tory party have principles and backbones. Pass the popcorn, after years of misrule and blaming everything on others, the chickens are now coming home to roost. If there is such a thing as karma, the Tories might just be about to get what they deserve. They have had 3 years to sort out Brexit and we are no closer to knowing what we want from a deal thanks to the inept May. The EU have played a blinder in throwing the ball back into Johnson’s court as they know full well that he is as clueless as Donald Trump and all they have to do is call his bluff. The downside is that the rest of us will be financially shafted whilst this tragic comedy plays itself out for the foreseeable future.

Extremism in any form is concerning but what is more concerning is the way that some play down the threat of far right extremists. The Brexit situation is a breeding ground of discontent for those who want to go back to the days of the Empire and the longer this drags on the more the rhetoric of the far right will appeal to some leavers. You have to ask where all the anti EU rallies were in the years before the referendum. The far right love situations like this.

The name Thedelldays is shown as shown historically with the word banned underneath. That usually implies that the poster has been banned does it not?

Indeed! But as I said before, hypochondriac is like internet herpes, once you've got him there is no getting rid of him!
-
Can't your buddy speak for himself? You really are tiresome and must be very bored at work if you feel the need to get into an internet spat on behalf of someone else.

Try reading what I said for a change. I said "occasionally read a post of yours." That does not mean I read all of your posts and in fact I read very few of them apart from those that appear in someone else's quote. What is odd is the way you instantly reply to virtually everything I write. Still, as we see with your stalking of Always, you are a bit of an online stalker aren't you? You seem also to have a very high opinion of yourself. Why on earth would you be in my head? You are one of the more unpleasant posters on here and how you get to spend so much of your day (when I assume you are being paid to do a job) is a mystery. I bet your boss would be delighted to see how you spend your day.
-
Weren't you banned as Delldays? You would have to ask him but you must have severely ****ed him off for him to leave because of you.
-
As I have tried to explain to you before, it is possible to chose to read someone's post even if you have them on ignore. You are on my ignore list but I chose to occasionally read a post of yours just in case there is a reason to respond. Usually there isn't.

It would appear that Boris has been less than honest again. The EU seem puzzled by his suggestion that they are making progress and that a deal is just as far away as ever. Whatever side of the divide you are on surely we can all agree that this whole process has been a fiasco? We elect people to make decisions on our behalf. Most of these people seem to agree that leaving the EU without a deal is, at the very least, foolhardy and unwise. We need an extension to the leaving date rather than Johnson's gung-ho "do or die" rhetoric and we need an election so that the newly elected Government know exactly what is expected of them going forward. Hopefully then this lying, self serving idiot will be out on his arse.

Bertrand apparently was back in light training last Wednesday so you would imagine he will be back after the international break.
-
Spot on! There is nothing wrong with him as a presenter and it doesn’t hurt having someone in the job who has played at the highest level. It is also a good think to have a former player with a few brain cells and an understanding that although sport plays an important part in society, there are more important things in life.

The only trap he has set is for himself and his Party. This will not end well. -

Hopefully Johnson will cause enough grief in his short tenure in Downing Street to ensure that his deeply unpleasant Party is unelectable for the next decade. -
Perhaps you and Batman should get a room?

I was reading someone’s post on a different forum the other day about why he no longer posted here. It was because you were still here and he couldn’t believe you had not been banned yet. You really are pathetic.
