Given that the manager has said that we are working on new signings, the answer to that question would be no.
-
Davis is the Club Captain isn't he?
-
So you have something that others want that is valuable to both of you and you decide to sell because it doesn't make sense to keep it anymore. Why would you give it away cheaply when you know you can get more for it? Thank **** you're not in charge of the club.
-
Criminal? Blimey, 6:33 and you are on the drama pills already. As for highlighting something to worry about at the club, isn't that what you spend your days doing? Here's a tip for you. Why not wait until the transfer window closes and then you can moan and ***** all you like about what has actually happened, rather than just what is going on in your head.

Why would we "appear" desperate, honeybuns? If the Board decide that the situation is "beyond salvageable," which would become apparent if he is made available at some point soon, I don't get what is "desperate" about making a pragmatic decision. We still hold the cards and will sell at a price that will suit us. We can keep him until January or the following window if we want. We are clearly not desperate to sell him, even if he does go in the end. Can you really see us selling him on the cheap?
-
You said that we were appearing desperate to get rid of him. Are we really, flower?
-
In what way are we "appearing so desperate to get rid?" That is vastly different to selling him if our valuation is met, which is what Tom28 is saying. Why do people constantly twist every situation at SFC to try and show the Board in a bad light? As far as I can see so far, no one has said that we will not be selling anyone in this window. They have said that they don't have to sell and don't plan to sell. Things change. VVD strop may well have changed minds. We really don't know but the bedwetters have already made up their minds. It is the Board's job to do the best for SFC. Often that doesn't meet with the pleasure of some people on an internet forum. Good. If he goes, he goes on our terms and it is laughable to think that we will just give him away. FFS some of you need to grow a pair and wait and see what happens until you get the plastic sheets out. Life will go on if he stays or he goes. And as for being desperate to get rid, he is a quality player and there will be plenty of clubs after him if he is officially put up for sale.

Perhaps Liverpool should just cut out the middle man and buy him themselves. They will save themselves a fortune!

Cant beat a bit of Monty Python when things are slow!
-
I have it on good authority that Virgil is unhappy with the quality of posters on Saints internet forums and wants more positive posters brought in if he is going to stay.
-
Rupert never had the fans to begin with. He was roundly hated after the reverse take-over and because he was from the City and not a football man.
-
I thought he was being courted by some major Italian clubs? Or was that just in his mind?
-
Three things are assured. Death, taxes and daily whining posts from Batman.
-
And no matter how we do there will be posters looking for something to beat the club up over.
-
There was speculation in Spanish publication Don Balon.

Collymore was basically released. Media reports today that Real Madrid and Barcelona are now interested in VVD. As 'Arry might say, proper football clubs.

No matter what happens there will be hundreds of posts slagging off Les or Ralph or Kat or all three. It is the way of things here. Anyone who runs a business or has spent time in management knows that you have to be flexible. Things change and you need to be able to react according to the differing circumstances. I don't believe that there was a plan to sell VVD this summer. The plan might still be to try and keep him. But with him kicking off and playing the spoilt brat the Board have to make the best decision they can for the club going forward. That might mean selling and it might mean selling to Liverpool. That will **** many people off, but they don't run the club and they are not privy to what is going on behind the scenes. That will not matter though because some will see it as a sell out. Personally, if he is going to go, I want it to be for the most money. If that is to Liverpool, so be it. I would prefer to see the club stay firm and not sell him this year, but the Board make that call and that will do what they think is best, no matter what the fans think.

Even though he was spot on with his previous post?
-
If VVD is as you say, an absolute c*nt, why is a bitter pill? Krueger said that we didn't have to sell. He didn't say that we wouldn't sell. If VVD has turned into another Fonte perhaps it is best for both parties if he moves on. Not a bitter pill. Just common sense.

As apposed to anything negative happening at SFC being down to Les Reed? I love the way you LR naysayers are turning the brattish behaviour of an ego driven minor sports star with an over inflated opinion of himself into the fault of the man who gave him a large payrise (that he was happy to accept) a year ago. LOL
-
Did we? I thought the FA decided that there wasn't enough evidence to proceed (LOL).
-
They do hold all the cards. If he doesn't play he makes himself look stupid and damages his international career. Do you really think he wouldn't play for a whole season?
-
I'm with you re Palace. I lived in the area for many years and whilst they have a solid support base, many of the locals support the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea. Man Utd etc. I cant see them being a 50k club anytime soon.

Our half-witted fans don't know how lucky they are

Excellent post. Spot on. I would say though if you come on here to get a whiff of anything it is more likely to be bullsh*t. -
Maybe you would vote for Corbyn because you are sick to death of a party who are self serving and look after their buddies and want to see a party in power who will think about the majority rather than the minority. Austerity was a choice forced on us. The public sector have been hammered whilst those doing the hammering voted themselves a decent pay increase (funny that the non-existent money tree appears at certain times and not at others). I will turn your question around, why the hell would you vote Tory? Change is coming, but not soon enough.
