  1. I don’t agree with you. What does it matter if you don’t know someone personally? These people gave millions of people pleasure. Anyone with an ounce of empathy would wish someone they only knew by their celebrity status but admired what they did would be concerned if the fell seriously ill or upset if they passed away. I never knew Markus but was very sad at his passing. Is that wrong? We all love football. Glenn Hoddle was one of the most skilful to play the game. It is only natural to be interested and concerned about his well being if you follow the game. It isn’t a recent thing. It has been going on forever.
  2. WTF?
  3. When we wish the worst on people running our football club hopefully this dreadful accident will put things into perspective. Shankley’s words about football being more important than life or death were pithy but in the real world were absolute ********. Absolutely dreadful news.
  4. A report by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command in 2013 states that of 52 cases in 2012 where the police provided ethnicity data, half of them concerned all Asian groups. 21% were "all white" groups and 17% were groups containing multiple ethnicities. These were identified as Type 1 groups meaning that they chose to sexually abuse teenagers and young women because of their vulnerability. Type 2 groups are those who solely assault children because that is what they are interested in i.e. paedophiles. Whilst Asians are more likely to form these gangs than "whites", "whites" are more likely to commit lone sexual assaults. There are more recorded lone sexual assaults than there are gang assaults. A small sample but these figures show that it isnt just Asian men who form these sex gangs.
  5. Then you would lose your bet. Mess. How many people do you know that call women birds and chicks?
  6. Who exactly is making excuses for rapists ducky? Blaming rape on ethnicity is moving into Yaxley-Lennon territory. And as for calling women birds and chicks in the 21st century? The world has moved on but you seem to be stuck in the Stone Age!
  7. I don’t know where they were born but they certainly live here and didn’t just pitch up for a weekend for a spot of rape. There have been groups of home grown sexual abusers. There is allegedly a group in Westminster but is yet to be proven. Does it really matter where people come from? Rapists are prevalent through the world, not just from Asia.
  8. You are a very odd person. Why would I find them not guilty? Crime is crime. There is no special category for Asian rape. The people are rapists. They don’t get a longer sentence for being Asian.
  9. If it had been a group of white English people would they have been called a gang of English rapists? The great shame here is that we are talking about race when we should be talking about sexual abuse by males.
  10. Where to start re being an international disaster? We will park his total lack of diplomacy and knowledge and understanding of international matters. This whole thing about America First plays well with the rednecks and hard nationalists in his country, but does nothing for the rest of planet at a time where we really all need to be pulling together. Trump's ignorance and denial of the issues surrounding global warming will hit us all and pulling the US out of the Paris Accord is a major problem for the future of the planet. By doing what is best for himself first and his country second, he encourages the same mindset that resulted in major conflict in the last century. We can spend hours going through the countless of incidents where his total lack of understanding about foreign affairs and inability to see anything beyond what is good for his public image doesn't bode well when you have far cleverer and clued up opponents in equally strong countries in the east. Why do you think Putin was so keen to see Trump in the White House. It is the equivalent of us having Mr Bean as PM. The people who voted for Trump need to see that this isolationist stance does not just fail for them in the long term, it fails for us all. Building walls and imposing swingeing trade tariffs will only take us back to the 19th century at a time where we really need forward thinking leaders who can see past small minded nationalism. As for the alt right having a better sense of humour? It is easy to laugh at the likes of Trump and our own Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, but I would be very worried for anyone laughing with them.
  11. Read the thread and work it out for yourself. It really isn’t that difficult.
  12. I am prepared to accept that this guy is mentally disturbed. But really, how does he get to get so much attention? What exactly am I missing?
  13. Once again we have an alt right supporter attempting to water down the criticism of one of their own. This has nothing to do with the Democrats. This has little do with the Republicans other than he is a member of their party. This is all about a mentally impaired individual who happens to be the most powerful man on the planet. Every time you pretend to slag him off you then counter it with some jibe against the Democrates or Hilary Clinton. There is no comparison so let’s not pretend there is. Trump is a national and international disaster. Full stop.
  14. "Clearly crushed?" Straying into narcissistic territory there aren't you? You were either going straight on there to protest your innocence or you were going to ignore it like the plague so no, not in the least crushed. It isnt going anywhere and there is plenty of time yet. You wont be able to help yourself at some point. You have this innate need to jump to the defence of anyone way right of centre who gets attacked on here to the extent that you will now have us believe that Hilary Clinton would have been just as divisive as Trump for America (and the world). Oh, and we also now have the playing down of Trump's views on sexually assaulting women. This is the same Donald Trump by the way who has had over twenty women made accusations about him having sexually assaulted them since the 70's. But let's ignore all that and his more recent comment about grabbing women by the p*ssy and pretend that somehow the other candidate was just as bad and that makes it ok. And Verbal, if you think that your feud with hypo is any less "head-crushingly boring" than mine, let me tell you right now, it is not.
  15. Clinton polled 2.9m votes more than Trump, a popular vote margin that was the largest ever by a candidate who lost the electoral college. To put it another way, more Americans voted for Hilary Clinton than any other losing presidential candidate in US history. To try and pretend that someone who lies, contradicts himself and obfuscates on a daily basis is equally divisive as Clinton is beyond bizarre. Still, when the likes of you and hypo align you just know that there is going to be some hard right wing reasoning going on. Trump has to be the worst POTUS ever by quite some distance and to try and play down his incompetence and pretend that he is no worse than the other candidate takes some doing, even by the Chuckle Brother's standards. I suggest you stick to posting your silly little memes Batman. As for hypo, nice try at backtracking but your earlier support for Trump's actions and views on women shows your true colours. Now pop over to the alt right thread and tell us about what a sterling chap that Tommy Robinson is.
  16. You two need to get a room.
  17. This is because, as a supporter of the alt-right, you are blinkered as to what an odious man Trump is. Anyone who challenges the liberals can't be all bad, eh? The reason that the US is so polarised and divided comes down to Trump, his Presidency and the way that he plays into the hands of the unhinged far right. There will always be a division between the Republicans and Democrats. Thing is Trump is taking great delight in making that chasm wider. But carry on pretending that he is not the problem.
  18. Yet we moved closer to being established European qualification contenders under the new board once Cortese had jumped ship.
  19. Try being original Batman. I know it is hard for you but I believe that you can do it. It must be tough for you seeing an icon of yours getting so much flak but find your inner superhero. And by the way, how do you know that I am not doing those things?
  20. Instead of bleating on and on about it on an internet forum where no one else gives a t*ss about what you think, why dont you do something constructive and bleat on and on about it to the owner and the board?
  21. Boufal came off the bench to score a late consolation goal for Celta Vigo. Former Saints target Promes on the bench for the other side and also came on late on.
  22. Good read. It is scary that no matter how badly Trump behaves, the stronger his support base seems to get. There are clearly a great many Americans who buy into his philosophy. Watching some of them defending Brett K last week was troubling. No matter what the truth is about the alleged sexual abuse claims, he clearly lied with his interpretations from the year book and for that reason alone it is enough to cast doubt as to his suitability for his new job. The amount of women who support Trump is staggering, goodness knows why. As much as I would hate to see it, I can see The Donald getting a second term. God help us all.
  23. I can’t remember the match, but after a poor result Big Mac accused KK of cheating (as in not putting in the effort). KK was not best pleased and it was the beginning of the end of his time with us.
  24. "I for one is not a dinlow." Maybe not, but your command of the English language leaves something to be desired Larry (unless you typed that deliberately for a laugh of course). So then, recruitment. An easy stick to beat any club with when results aren't going well. Alas it is not a perfect science. United are probably wondering why they bought Sanchez and resigned Pogba at this very moment. Vestergaard and Hoedt have both played for their countries so are clearly not mugs. Whether they are cut out for the rigours of the Premiership, only time will tell as some players take longer than other to settle down in this league. Should we employ the odd "amateur poster" from here to recruit players? Of course not. Would you go an seek medical advice or mental health advice from an internet jockey? Not if you are sensible. Trying to recruit quality on a budget is not easy (recruiting with a massive budget might give you more hits than misses but is still a minefield). Not only do you have to identify targets, but the club has to be willing to sell and the player willing to move to us. It came to light recently (despite the moans and groans on here that the club weren't doing anything to sign a decent winger) that we tried to signed Pepe from Lyon in the summer. He didn't want to join us (sadly as he looks like a quality player who would do well in the Prem). Mason Mount chose Derby over us apparently (down to the fact that he is a Skate). You start at the top of your list and work your way down. The further down the list you go the bigger the possible risk you take that they won't be as good. It doesnt end there. Once you have done your job and brought in players, they are then in the hands of the manager and coaching staff who may, or may not get the best out of the squad. We all know about the qualities that Gabbi brings to the team but only Puel seemed to get the best out of him, for example. Running a football club and managing the fans expectations is a totally thankless task for most. Steve Bruce did a good job at Villa last season but is out on his arse in early October this season. They may employ someone who will do better, but it isnt nailed on. We are probably suffering a backlash from a period when we were losing top quality players but still performing well in the league. It was never going to last forever and we dont have the monopoly on finding diamonds in the rough or producing gems from the academy. If you want to slag off the club's recruitment policy that is your prerogative, but lets not pretend that people who drive buses in the day, sort out insurance claims or sell houses are going to be better at recruitment than those who do the job professionally. If, they were, they wouldn't be driving buses, sorting out insurance claims or selling houses would they? The OP seems to suggest that we are not buying quality because we are not targeting quality. Surprisingly not every rising star is desperate to play for SFC.
  25. I can’t believe you don’t get irony me old mollusc.
