You could well ne right UJ, but do you have any hard evidence to prove either that he was making it up or that he wasnt being fed info by a third party? I am more concerned about the grief he got for it. Instead of just saying whatever and leaving him to his fantasies (if that what they were) he got bullied to the point where he felt that he needed to leave that forum. And what if there was a third party in reality and that person was winding him up? If someone says I am going to give you some information and you can take it or leave it, why cant some people just leave it if they dont believe it? Why do they feel the need to keep having a pop? Ok, some people are constantly and clearly trolling and probably deserve all they get, but this guy came across as a decent bloke and not the normal internet t**t who does this stuff and I dont think that he deserved the pitch fork treatment. There are clearly some obvious WUMs here but some not so obvious WUMs have also been caught up in the crossfire over the years. As for getting on my high horse, I stopped paying my fiver some time ago and know of a number of posters who no longer post here down to those who just want to spoil this place for everyone else. Perhaps if more people stood up to those he insist on being arses then things might improve around here? As one of the posters who likes to have constant digs at others you come across as a bit of a hypercrite Sherlock.

Yep, a WUM is a WUM. But is someone who, in good faith, passes on information given them by a third party a WUM? I really dont know if that was the case with JS but it is clearly the case with some who just think they are being helpful and are being stitched up themselves. In the case of JS, his normal posts were fine and he showed no sign of being an attention seeking t**t. If you park the ITK stuff, he was a popular poster on another site and I wouldnt say that he wasn't missed. I am sure we have all been around these sites long enough to make our own decisions about who to believe and who not to believe. The problem with hounding out people who claim to be ITK is that some who are genuine get undeserved grief and stop posting what they know.

Maybe so Jeff, but as you say, he always provided an entertaining read and didn’t do anyone any harm. As with any ITK info, we can take it or leave it. FTF - he got the new manager wrong on one occasion - well, his “source” did (Pellegrino instead of Puel, but I am not 100% sure). There was a lot of info behind the scenes on the Fonte situation that was interesting (if true). It was a while back now but from what I remember it was mostly stuff going on behind the scenes rather than specific transfer stuff. His “source” wanted to get the clubs side of the story out there without being too official about it apparently. BS or not, he was always a good read. Seems to have fallen off the planet now though. Whatever was going on with Jack, he did come across as a bloke you would like to have a pint with and not just a run of the mill WUM.

Jack ****t didn’t post here, he used to post in Sotonians. I feel sorry for people who post with good intent only to get slagged off and called liars by people who have no clue. I can only assume some people are jealous. If you don’t believe a post fine, but why hound others away? Jack was a perfect case in point. He made it very clear that he was posting in good faith but that he was only passing on info and to believe it or not as you wished. He ended up getting chased away. I don’t think he even posts on Twitter any more. Perhaps you should chase the people who really do lie and have a massive effect on world affairs instead of backing them up (eh hypo?).

You said it was £100k a week. You then said that ITKs on here said it is £95k a week. You are now saying yourself that it is £95k. Mess. Given that our previous highest earner was supposedly on around £65k I find either of these figures hard to believe, especially as we as a club have a reputation for not paying high transfer fees or wages. Even in todays crazy market £100k a week is a big wage. The poster who said it was £70k a week gets my vote for the most believable wage for FF. The club had been heavily criticised for not tying players down for longer and clearly changed their policy to do something about it. Sadly it backfired but if (and it is a very big if) FF had rediscovered his original form it would have been a good move. Still, hopefully lesson learned and time to move on.

Despite the wonderful weather you can always rely on Alpine to add a dark cloud. Let me get this right. When our recruitment has been successful we have been lucky but when it isnt, we arent unlucky, we are just useless? I dont think anyone has a problem with the club being criticised. What we have a problem with is the so called fans who do nothing but criticise the club and who vanish when things are going well. I swear that they get some kind of perverse pleasure from finding fault and wallowing in it. At what point are these people going to realise that if you support clubs like Southampton, Crystal Palace, WBA etc this stuff goes with the territory. Moaning and whinging doesnt change anything. If it did we would have won the Premiership every year since its inception! If you really feel that you have to criticise constantly, then maybe try constructive criticism for a change rather than the usual wrist slitting dramatics? We haven't kicked a ball in anger in the Premiership in the new season yet but to read some posters you would think that we are already relegated. Seriously, why do you bother? There must be other things out there that you can find some pleasure in other than running down a club that you say you support.

I read recently that only 40% of Premiership transfers are “successful.” It didn’t define what “successful was though but you get the drift. Less than half work out the way you would like them to. We aren’t alone in buying duds.

I think that the anti Trump protests have been brilliant. I live in a small village in the middle of nowhere and even we have had posters hanging out of windows telling him to go home.
