Who'd have thought it? As for 1976. I don't agree. Winning the cup was awesome. The 100 metres is more exciting to watch than the marathon. You really cant beat a Cup Final win for excitement.

...a team which deserves to be in the Premier League ?

Not me. I am still gutted at the team WGS put out that day. Played it way too safe. I still think we could have won that day if he had been bolder in his team selection. -

I had forgotten that match. That was back in the days when I used to support all British teams in foreign competitions and remember actually feeling sorry for Leeds. Well, I was a lot younger then! -
There is a massive difference between throwing punches (and how do we know the guy wasn't trying to defend himself?) and shooting someone dead. There are punch ups all over the country but very few shootings. You say who knows what might have happened? Well we will never know because someone took it upon himself to kill someone else. No arrest. No trial. Just someone taking the law into his own hands and becoming judge, jury and executioner. If we get involved in a punch up I doubt very much if you will find anyone who expects their attacker to be shot dead. Police should be able to defend themselves from an attack but there is a big difference between defending yourself and killing someone and we have seen all too often unarmed people being shot dead by your police.

Teams only deserve to be in the Premiership on merit. Leeds have been second rate for many years now, There are plenty of teams that have played in the top flight and cant get back in. The day they get promoted will be the day they deserve to be in the Premiership. -
My remark was tongue in cheek and I agree that the reason we drew was down to the general performance rather than the goalkeeper. If we had been two down at half time and grabbed an equalizer in injury time I wonder if the mood would have been a tad different on here?

Kelvin?

So the cop has some blood on his face. It washes off. Bullets don't wash off and the other guy is dead.
-
I guess that the management team feel that Kelvin can still do a job as back up. I still cant get my head around why Gazza hasn't been replaced. I'd love to see a decent young up and coming keeper here as no 2 but I guess that isn't going to happen any time soon. I feel sorry for KD. He has done a great job for us over the years and he should have gone out on a high, not as a scapegoat.
-
So it wasn't all Kelvin's fault then?
-
Like it or not Davis is our current no.2. There is a reason Gazza isn't and that is because Davis is still better than Gazza. We clearly need a better stand in. Perhaps the plan is to sign Stek permanently once FF is back as back up? Who knows?
