Last season it took us 17 PL games to reach 10 games without a first half goal (failing to do so 6 games in a row at that point, in game 12-17). We ended that season having failed to score in the first half 19 times.

First matchday #15 win in 5 years!

Battle of the Dutch international centre-backs: VVD vs Martins Indi. Stoke are also having some trouble scoring goals. I'll be optimistic and predict a 1-2 (Rodriguez and Romeu).
-
Højbjerg rested, injured, or not good enough?
-
I'll be overjoyed with any goal of course, but a Long goal would feel like a double.
-
I'm really hoping for a Shane Long goal and a Tadic goal today.
-
He certainly did more than Sims last night.

We have a few (admittedly: really) bad games and suddenly not only do all the players suck, does the manager suck, does Les Reed suck, and don't our investors care... no, also our whole reputation is based on a lie.
-
To be fair the title of this thread suggests that the manager should be sacked, and the obvious implication is that it would make things better. So how was it not said?

I get the frustration, and some of the alienation, but off the top of my head: Forster: season #3 Tadic: season #3 Targett: season #3 Bertrand: season #3 Gardos: season #3 Long: season #3 Reed: season #4 Davis: season #5 Rodriguez: season #5 Yoshida: season #5 Ward-Prowse: season #6 Fonte: season #8 plus Southampton boys like Hesketh, McQueen, Sims, Targett, Ward-Prowse getting regular time. There's some loyalty/positivity when you look for it.

Saints 1 Hapoel Be'er Sheva 1 - Match & Meltdown Thread
Pass the Dutchie replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Redmond was the only one trying to go forward at least, and passing some guys now and then. He did have an unfortunate night - and no support whatsoever - but at least his attitude seemed alright. -
Here we go! EDIT: I'm watching this one: http://www.feed4u.tv/watch/1817753/1/Southampton-FC-vs-Hapoel-Beer-Sheva.html

Will Tadic be good to play?

Sincere curiosity: what do you base this on? You don't believe he wanted to leave last summer? I don't have a personal relationship with the guy, so all I can go by is what's written and said in the media, and I can't read it all.

It really is time for that VVD goal he's been missing all season. And a Long goal just for fun. 2-0

Words that would have been ridiculed just a while ago, but now sound true. Time is a funny thing.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah isn't playing at Man Utd at the moment. He can play as a centre back, a full-back and as a defensive midfielder. 18 years old and full of potential. I know he signed a new contract just two months ago, but what does that mean nowadays? If this thread is a wishlist, I'd quite like him here.

Fonte was overall pretty great last season and did well at the Euros. The few extra months added to his age don't suddenly make him too old. I would say his drop in form has more to do with commitment/disappointment. $5M isn't much for a big club to buy a decent back-up option, even at his age.

Ziyech is not going to leave Ajax after half a season.
