Currently the vaccine is thought to be the way forward as we couldn’t cope with the number of seriously ill people or the fact that we couldn’t all stay at home either. Another method has been used in other countries such as NZ and Oz , NZ have done ok so far but their situation is much different to the UK . Oz doing ok but has low jab levels so they are constantly in and out of lockdown and for example many Australians that were out of the country still haven’t made it back home yet ! The AZ jab which I have had hasn’t been approved in the US yet and the EU went to court to get more AZ jabs while not using it anyway due to clotting scare. The risks so far of having the jab is still very small but there have been enough instances of dodgy drugs in the past for people to be worried about what they are being given . The false research that linked the MMR jab to Autism has lead people to be wary of vaccines as well . Vaccines that have worked such as polio have seen polio nearly eliminated from the world . A proper test , track and isolation scheme would have stopped the spread but it appears it is only likely to happen where the Govt has total control ! The app based solution seems to have so many flaws we are now dealing with the pingdemic also a bit of a farce. So easy to see why people are unsure about what to do for the best , I have always had whatever jab has been offered throughout life because it seemed OK but when it came to statins it was a different story . I can’t take statins and even my GP has had to agree , after me trying all that were available on the NHS ! I am not convinced at all that statins are helping people to live longer and healthier and suspect somewhere along the line that may turn out to be recognised but that’s my opinion .

Saints are far from the only Prem team to buy players that never make it at the club . Think of all the record signings say Spurs , Arsenal and Man U have made who never made it into the team . IIRC Benitez managed to amass 60 players on Liverpool’s books ! It seems to be more size of squad in our case so a dud is a big deal.

Pony . The Bosman ruling changed the whole relationship which is why clubs want to give new contracts to players with 2 years left on their current contracts . Their objective now is to retain some value of their assets so they don’t leave for free so even with one year left it may be worth extending . We’ve no idea why Saints went overboard with FF’s long gold plated extension . Bale is another mystery , he was on the point of leaving but Real pulled out , explain that.

A lot of people seem to demonstrate they don’t have any common sense whatsoever! At the moment no one can plan anything with any certainty that the law/rules won’t change at a drop of a hat.

Er that type of treatment plus holding on to a players registration and not paying them led to the Bosman ruling which is why players / agents hold most of the high value cards .

No it means people that were calling BLM out because their slogan which meant redirect money to reduce the need for Police action Were getting hot under the collar about BLM when the Tories had already defunded the Police before their very eyes and they didn’t bat an eyelid !

From 2010 to 2019 the Tories reduced the Police budget by 20% . They are the defunders of the Police ! The point being made is more should be spent on the causes of crime ie underprivileged families etc which would lead to Police budgets being reduced as a result.

Who knows if any of the people posting the abuse are football fans , could it be a far right campaign taking advantage ? The promotion of division is an official Govt policy under Boris's culture war agenda so it should be no surprise . The anti racism campaign is about alot more than stopping abuse on social media , more about equal opportunities . Climate change is a much bigger threat to our way of life than culture wars/social media abuse it is a major cause of migration , extreme weather events , drought lasting for years in some countries . MPs of all parties seem to have been abused on line for a few years now so they should have taken action by now .

You can’t make that comparison unless you have seen the graffiti so it is not a valid comparison. The Mural was defaced , some of the graffiti was painted over and the rest had plastic sheet taped over it . The graffiti was reported by various news outlets as racist so people thought that it was . Some on here have posted what they think is said which doesn’t appear to be racist just offensive. So if it was reported as racist but wasn’t in fact racist then then it isn’t racist and neither , IMO is the Blackadder joke .

It is a joke , the reference to the English players who missed their penalties is the joke because they might miss Blackadder as part of a firing squad. I conclude therefore that it isn't in itself racist . Mr WUM .

A 12 man firing squad was used in WW1 so you need to include Southgate , Ince , Waddle , Pearce etc . It’s in keeping with Blackadder humour though. Not sure what your point is ?
