Maybe they were going with the Refs decision ie deflection on to hand therefore no pen , rather than was it going in the goal. VAR needs a review , not changes on the hoof. A few years ago a Uni did a study on fouls and concluded that if a player put his arms down to break his fall to the floor it was probably a foul BUT if they threw their arms up as they went down it probably wasn't. I think more studies should be done , look at Grealish when he hits the deck , both his legs are straight out behind him showing he has held his lead leg back or Salah who colapses like a sack of spuds at the slightest touch etc . Factor that into the VAR and decide on what and when it is used for.

I few years earlier we went on a school trip to WHL , arrived in coach park and watched Terry Paine and co get off their coach ! excitement , we lost 5-3 but were coming back strongly and if we had another 10 mins ..... stopped for cockles and other strange thinks on the way home !

Lino was a yard behind so it would have looked off but she wasn't supposed to flag until move played out , apparently.

Ings may be suffering from after effects of Cov19 plus mental pressure due to contract negotiations and transfer speculation as well as lack of service up front. Players seem to struggle on the pitch when in the thick of contract talks esp if there is a chance they may leave at some point .

His problem at Arsenal was he didn't score loads of goals al a Henry but in our team he seems to be a good addition to the team , not fantastic but then he wouldn't be at Saints if he was . Better option than Long at the moment.

I thought last season , when I watched him at St Mary’s , that he was jogging around up front . Watching MOTD he was picked out for his linking play and as instigator of most of our attacks ! He is always trying , likes to nutmeg the keeper but doesn’t always succeed. Since then he has become first on the team sheet .
