CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal
Pilchards replied to Brizzie Saints's topic in The Saints
If Saints wanted Virgil badly they would of wrapped it up on Friday, my fears are we are penny pinching with Celtic and it will go down to the last day of the transfer market. The Virgil personal terms are probably already agreed. Not the way I would like to do a deal as someone else could quite easily hijack it. -
Exactly, and it continues to grow like Stoneman would of. This Cyber Bully FRY seems to think he knows everything these days. I personally think the fella is losing it slowly with old age.
-
Correct, Too much spending money on squad players. Stuck with them now so we just have to knuckle down and pray they improve quickly. Me personally to save our short term problem I would indeed flog Long and bring in Austin, Play Caulker, Fonte and VIrgil as 3 CB's and make sure I would get a good covering left footer to give Bertrand more support for his overlaps when fit again. Then shove Mane in a number 10 free role to do what he wants while we play the ball to feet and stop pumping it to Pelle all the time. Regarding RB & RM - screwed!!! RB, One can't attack and one can't defend while your covering right midfielders are either lazy to track back, light weight or too slow. BIG PROBLEM - At least Townsend could solve half of it.

Seriously? Thank god you are not running our football club as you would turn us into a circus, tutt tutt.

They were written off before they even kicked a ball to be precise. IMHO Virgil has something different to offer us and I trust the black box (blah blah) on this one. -

So many people mention that he switches off during the game, have any of you guys actually sat through a Scottish match yourself without dozing off? -
It does make me laugh how we wanted the players to shoot more rather than walk the ball in like last season. After yesterday vs Watford I prefer us to stop the shots. They were pinging everywhere from the corner flag to the top of the stadium roof.
-
Maybe we need to accidently set off the water sprinklers in the Spurs changing room when they visit us, and perhaps put a failed drug in the pot of tea. Smarter ways of revenge I say. (All jokingly of course)
-
I've heard Wanyama was getting a t shirt printed yesterday with the words 'Who the **** are Spurs.' seriously the best T shirt print I've seen is the Sharp one for his son, very moving moment indeed. What's yours?
-
And I'm afraid that's not going to happen (why don't you read all of it) Cyber Bully Fry with his usual cowards act again.
-
I suppose one way to keep most players at our club happy is pay them what they can earn elsewhere. I'm afraid that will never happen, the greedy ones will continue to leave by saying the usual dribble like 'I want to win trophies blah blah.'
-
Reed and Koeman made it very clear nobody is leaving the club in the next couple of weeks. So I expect Wanyama is going to spit his dummy out just like Spider did last year. The bottom line is something is not right at the moment as it seems everyone wants to leave. Real shame as I have high hopes for this club but the last four games feels like we are a million miles away from what we produced last season.
-
Anything to keep the fans happy.
-
Thats the problem with Saints players these days as they lack ambition. Fancy telling Koeman he wants to stay at a poxy club instead of one of the biggest in the world, tutt tutt.
-
Lennon wants to join Everton so why not Saints and Austin would switch with Pelle for the starters role, of course they would come to us.
-
Anyone else doing the predictions from this link? At the moment Saints are flagging near 17th with an average of 111. Me personally I'm owning it with 180, what is everyone else's score so far? http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/predictor

Midfield / forward shape - not working, change it back!
Pilchards replied to benjii's topic in The Saints
IMHO Wanyama has been our best player this season, I would say Pelle has started well too. I suppose you could say Fonte is not on top form as he is doing the job of two at the moment. -
Blimey Cyber Bully Fry you forgot the personal insults? Swap Long for Austin and maybe Townsend/Lennon for JWP/Tadic and you would then have some speed and power coming off the bench. Pretty good English options to have in those guys?

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-1 FC Midtjylland
Pilchards replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
That Caulker is a slow starter, a good team would punish his first 10' minute performances. -
Not bad, too much average on the bench. Get Austin and all of a sudden you can see goals coming off the bench if he rotates with Pelle.

I think our problems would be solved if we sold Long and bought Austin, at least we will have a bloody good striker coming off the bench and not a couple of headless chickens who can't score for toffee. -
i expect he will claim he saw Mane at 8-00pm this evening just as he kicks us off at St Mary's?
-
The Cyber Bully Fry who hides behind his computer screen? The poor coward probably suffers with a button co.ck mushroom too.
-
The truth is your becoming the biggest **** on this forum as you constantly add a picture to Alpine's comments (it's boring now)! and you spam other people's comments too. You're a sad coward CB, very sad coward.

It's a shame that Koeman can't have the final say on the transfer. The 'Let's get as much money as we can in' board will no doubt be getting sweaty fingers on any bid for 20m.
