IMHO Clyne's agent has agreed a deal with United, and the next step is for them to sort a transfer deal with us. Clyne could well stay as he is very happy with us if the club offered him 60k a week. Win, win for Clyne and win, win for us as we can hold out for a 25m deal although he is in the last year of his contract. if he don't sign it then we get another year from him and then he walks away scot free. simples...!!!

We have some wonderful talented kids that would die for the club, can't say the same for Djuricic, Elia and Gardos.

Ronald Koeman insists even Barcelona could not lure him from Southampton
Pilchards replied to goneawol's topic in The Saints
When you really think about the current manager we have its crazy, this guy is in the top 10 all time players and he is with us for another two years. great times ahead and I really mean it when I say Saints can get a champions league spot next year (if we never had the Europa to think about) -
I do believe Elia is stopping a young kid gaining experience for the first team.

Close season 2017, playing devil's advocate
Pilchards replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
I do believe the black box would push Eddie Howe forward as a great English manager option for us. IMHO better options will be available to us if we are doing well in Europe. -
Depends on the draw I suppose, we were good enough to beat some of the big guns of Europe at the start of the season but some of the players stopped performing.

Victor Wanyama tells The Sun that Arsenal want to sign him
Pilchards replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Having a top manager in Koeman is not ambitious? We only failed to reach the champions league because Pelle, Tadic, Clyne dropped off after Xmas. If we had decent back ups then I have no doubt we would be 3rd or 4th right now. -

Beginning to not give a **** anymore about those wanting out. The most important person at the club is still here next season and he will rebuild us again with even better players. Goodbye Wanyama, Clyne and Spider and please take any other greedy bastard with you to warm the benches elsewhere. -
Plenty of promising talent to sell if we follow the trend, real shame the players can't stay like Le Tiss & Benali.

Yes indeed buy to lets are a good option if you have a spare £30k. In three years ours went from 131,000 to 170,000 in value plus the £700 income on top of that. After paying off the mortgage you still make 10k in 36 months plus 41k in house value. That works out as making £1,400 a month on a property with the current rise in house value. This is why I'm getting my 4th buy to let soon

Returing from a Dutch weekend of martial arts competition coaching and I got talking to one of the Dutch coaches. They claimed to know some goings on with Saints. We have secured Claisie and Vilhena (I think it's spelt) We need to agree a price as they are not happy with the value we want to pay, might be someone else involved if the Dutch team get what they want.

This is why I think England struggle with the national team, the top 6 teams don't play youngsters enough because they need to win many games. Since we started getting in the higher parts of the league we have stopped playing Taggert, Reed and Isgrove because we can't afford too. Try Chelsea and City in this discussion, they would rather buy a quality player than play a youngster coming through the ranks, we are starting to get like this too.
-
I think Messi needs to visit Fratton Park first before making that statement.
-
If a team wants him that badly then 30m is not a stupid price at all. Already Liverpool and Utd have paid way over the odds for average players and they know that Clyne is proven plus young enough to make a profit for the future.
-
Is he going to give 100% to us these last few games? I would slack knowing I'm trebling my wages elsewhere plus getting a good one million sign on fee. Don't you think the deal would be off if he breaks a limb? IMHO Must be another player involved if they are pushing it through already. Nani, Young or Chic? I would take a swap deal for Mata
-
They are all on double the wages since they left us so I doubt they have any regrets.

Nice article on BBC. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/32296467

I honestly don't think its a situation where a Saints player gets to find out what wages others are on and then they want to move for bigger wages. I think its the England manager who tells the player I want you playing Champions league football and I will select you more.

Regarding Morgan wanting to leave, don't you think it's pathetic that Saints have been showing us video's of our last success, Five years ago a JPT winners medal. IMHO Morgan could have 3 Wembley finals, 20 Champions league matches and perhaps a Premiership title medal around his neck in the next five years. Oh, plus an extra few million in the bank.

I totally agree with you Benji. The talk in the papers plus the radio makes us out as world beaters with the headlines - 'What a great front 5 England have etc.' Come a major competition Rooney will become even ****ter while Hodgson will pick the wrong system and send us all home again early. PS if only we had a good young manager that could gel the players then we have a chance, Northern Ireland have proved you can do well as a team.
-
Reckon we could of sold another 15k as it was hard enough getting a ticket for that day.
-
I did make me laugh when a Sunderland fan said he stays to the end of the game so he can miss the traffic.
-
After listening to the radio earlier and it said Liverpool are 5th plus Spurs, Tottenhan just behind in 7th. The race for the champions league is really hotting up. Excuse me but how on earth has Spurs got a better chance than us when our goal different is far more superior than them. It really hurts the BBC etc that we are ruffling the feathers of the so called big boys and I tell you what, I would love it if we qualify for the champions league as they will all eat big humble pie. PS anyone know a thing about Forsters injury?
-
Goodbye JWP, who's it going to be Liverpool or Arsenal that are going to tap you up?
-
Don't blame anyone moving on as they double the wages and have many top, top games. Think all of the players that left last year will have played at Wembley in a cup match plus experienced some amazing European games.
