I was on my way to training today until I had a phonecall to attend somewhere else urgently.

Gutted as I was ready to pop into the training ground as I knew we had someone extra there with the team. totally gutted as I have a top of the range camera to zoom in on players. I also wanted to relay back to everyone what our new Gooley was playing like as I cant wait to see him.

Solent know nothing, infact nobody knows nothing. When someone signs before Saturday (if) then it will be another surprise to us all.

When we played 4-4-2 the team looked dangerous at times, however with 8 minutes to go they went 3-5-2. Bolton then hit us on the break more and looked more likely to score again, Is 3 at the back a suicide option as I feel we was really getting into them with our normal formation?

Marcus Bent is my gut feeling but I reckon it will be some hot italian that will be a whippet to get on Rickie's knock ons. That's the only way to beat 10 backline like we will have to face so many times this season.

Strange one this. If he has signed then you would parade him at the game, If he wants to look at the club first then it's a situation where Saints will know it's going to be leaked out and that other clubs could nip in before us. This is a great agents tactic to generate better interest for the player. IMHO We are one option the player has but they intend to chase the larger wages in the end so we shall see.

If we bring in better players than Papa and the Ant then perhaps it was not a waste as those guys did a good stop gap last season. They both could be overpriced now but how was AP to know if they was good enough when he first got them?
