TOWN chairman Andrew Fitton is expecting an “easier” League One next season, believing less points will be needed to gain promotion. Despite amassing 82 points, Swindon were forced to settle for fifth place and the play-offs in the 2009/10 campaign, with a higher-than-normal total being achieved by the promoted sides - Norwich, Leeds and Millwall. Peterborough, Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday all drop into League One from above, while Notts County, Bournemouth, Rochdale and Dagenham & Redbridge have come up into it, and Fitton believes it will be less competitive around the top end of the division. “I think it will be slightly easier and I’m less concerned than I was last year, if I’m honest,” he told the Advertiser. “We have got rid of two of the toughest teams in Norwich and Leeds, and I don’t see what is coming to replace them. “Southampton will be tough, but there are some teams who people expect to be up there who won’t be. “I’m not convinced by Huddersfield’s push, or Brighton’s push – even though they supposedly have a lot of money behind them now. “Sheffield Wednesday could go either way. Plymouth? I don’t think so, as they have some rebuilding to do. “And the clubs coming up from League Two won’t go straight through. I see it as a slightly easier league next year. “This season it was very competitive, with seven or eight teams all capable of getting in the top two, and that’s why the points tallies were so high. “Next year though I think it will be less teams competing for automatic promotion and less points needed.”

The amount of times the club has announced something without anyone being ITK is impressive. They bought several good players last season which took us all by surprised too. This is why I get excited when I browse this forum as someone will have a link to the official website with club news. Going back in time, there is no way that Keegan deal would of been kept a secret today with the internet/forums etc. Agree, or do you call it arrogance from Cortese?

I have been on there forum all week and they are all talking about him, someone even mentioned how much he was on wages which I think is the problem. S - Speed, everytime Anders came on the pitch as a sub he would sprint to his position while everyone was stood still, this made him look very quick, once the game restarts you never saw him again.

I find that very hard to believe as Cortese could of viewed those photo's anytime on his photo/laptop while out in Malta for a few days. I believe the delay is because they are looking for god to appear in the picture with Rickie.

I was fed up with waiting so I went down St Marys myself to get a photo of the new kit, I could not believe it when Rickie Lambert walked out with it on, just as I was about to take a picture someone dumped 60 tonnes of soil in front of me. sorry guys but I did try.

Maybe Lambert came back from holiday with a pig belly and the guy who did the badge needs to touch it up abit on Photoshop. Maybe it's release will be on Friday so the fans can buy it as it looks almost like the England shirt, nothing better than wearing that in the pubs. Maybe the guy who was to design it left it to someone else and that only last week they realised none of them did it. :-) Oh well.....!

Add the manager to that list as he said the players will want to stay here and have the word 'champions' on there CV. yeah too right Alan, It's nice to be positive.

The thought of Saints being favourites for the league and the fact we buy half decent players these days, also it's nice we have two new kits soon to be announced and a chairman who's ambition is to take Saints to the top end of the Premiership. Why all the doom and gloom? Is it because we are becomming spoilt for choice these days and the fact some fans think they own this club... I'm happy anyway and so should you.
