Erm, It was on Radio Solent at 7.20 this morning with the comments, This is Pardew's reaction to the draw. I agree he could be playing it down but it would of been nice for him to say 'We will crush those skate *******s but in the mean time we are only focussed on the league now.'
-
It's just another game to us vs Portsmuff and that our main task is the league. I'm slightly worried by those comments as he needs to know the score here. Anyway my points is this. Which current Saints players know the passion of the Southampton people? The current squad leaves me with just Lallana & Mills, do you think the rest will have the passion or bottle to want it badly?

'Get your hand off the back of my head, I can do it myself?'

Every team has them!

Markus Liebherr To Spend Spend Spend!!!!
Pilchards replied to Matthew Le Tissier's topic in The Saints
If that's the case then the last 3 signings could be a waste as we should of got 3 of forte's standards which would of flew us to the championships. I hate the thought of a squad of 50 odd players as it would make us a joke. -
we won't hear nothing until after training and I bet you a tenner that the officail website will show a photo of him training. I'm stranded at Colbury but i'm pondering over a trip to staplewood.

tell him I will buy it Michelle! you've got my number.

What game was this last night?
-
What a final for the sky broadcast. Carlisle v the dons. ;-)
-
Jeez, it took you a year to come up with that! Whatever next a Keegan has signed thread from the eighties?
-
I hope he don't get injured on the show!

I think a problem we have here is Saga demands a crazy wage packet elsewhere as he will continue to collect his (at least 12k a week) at Saints. Why move for less?
-
I can't see that we are pulling away from this deal if it's just 800k. What's that if it helps us get the season back on track? Anyway I have a feeling that it's alot more but the situation regarding Gillet is making us think he's worth more! fingers crossed on this one.
-
At last a figure, but at 4m a year with Wupert being the chairman I just can't see it. that's 80k a week, nah I can't see it somehow sorry!
-
I knew how much Jason Dodd was on when he was our manager but I've forgotten now, I remember thinking at the time how could he survive on that. At a guess I would say Hoddle 25k a week?
-
Who do you reckon was the highest paid manager for Saints? We always hear about players but never the managers On the subject I was asked yesterday by my lady 'Do managers get the same pay as players?' I have no idea but I reckon Rednapp was on a fair bit!
-
Some teams above us have spent 200k only. Does that make there manager good too or would you say they are miracle workers compared to the millions we have spent. I have been the most positive saints fan all season but in the last month I see the signs of a struggling team which is getting worse.
-
Yeah that's a mystery why he can't get the boro playing at all. Maybe it will take alittle more time to do so. To prove my point on good managers today, if Paul Lambert went to Boro I bet you a good £100 that he would turn it around within a month, some have the knack. Back to AP, with the amount of money we have spent you would of thought we would be ****ing it with the quailty of players we have. Why are we struggling in the last 6 games as we have only just managed to beat Tranmere/Wycombe and Luton.
-
I'm trying to workout where I would add AP as a good manager. I will refer to a couple of points, Paul Lambert of Norwich is taking his team to the top, he was in charge of Colchester who thumped Norwich 7-1. Since he took over Norwich they have become a very good team, they even got revenge over Colchester by beaten them 5-0. Another good manager is Owen Coyle and Sean O'Driskell (Doncaster manager) These guys are great coaches that IMPROVE players. So where does AP fit in? Does he improve players or does he try to buy success? I'm trying to work out which players are better now then when Pardew took over as I know that WGS improved each player throughout.
-
Its all about chess. You dominate the centre four squares and the rest will look after itself, we have lost that recently which allows other teams to carve us open easily.
-
I don't understand how this deal can ever go ahead? Doncaster know we have money and I'm guessing here, a three million price tag is not going to come down because we want it too. NEXT?
-
I understand your point about the building for next season but we had a manager telling us we must chase that playoff spot. 4 games ago we was 7 points off it, but now we are a million miles off it with some very lame performances it must be said. I would even say the Leeds result should of gone our way if we set the team out to scare the opposition more.

Haha......... at last i've managed a smiie in the last 2 hours.

If Pancake said jump off the cliff would you?
