It has got me thinking that in the last five games we have not conceded when going to the 4-4-2, as we are on paper a much better football team than most of those in our league, does the 4-4-2 keep the other team pressed back? Can it be a system that can work from the kick off as you might burn out Connolly and Lambert when they are chasing down the defenders? Also the right midfielder option with Papa and Ant, can they play together or does it work well as it is because both of them are super charged up to keep attacking the flank? Discuss please, but remember I'm not trying to tell AP how to do his job as I just love to talk about the technical side of football.

Its clear the team has finally moved away from rock bottom which is when this club could not stop sinking for years, but at what part it stopped? I personally think we carried on reaching lower points after the buy out but when im not sure. what about you?

the day we signed Kevin Keegan! ;-)
-
Haha his bellboys around him also got kicked out against spurs for bad language towards harry and Defoe. There was even a song directed at Defoe about he will die too like his brother when he comes for trial. This sad?

That will teach you for having David James in goal. ;-) I too find it strange when I have a powerfull England team with rankings of 98 and downwards when Algeria have cack from the 83 cark and they beat me 2-1. grrrr.

To be honest with you, the quickest we get knocked out the better chance we have of reaching the championships. That's my gut feeling however the chance of saints fans going to wembley is a dream come true as I still hear the Cardiff 2003 experience ringing in my ears now.

Tilson (their manager) -Saints contention for play offs

Win a title next year for me please. The championships!!! -
What has been the best away atmosphere you have witnessed? Im not talking about our own fans but the home team. I remember going to Manchester Utd and Liverpool thinking it was going to be amazing but they was so quiet during the game. My best are two teams, Newcastle United when we lost 2-0 about 15 years ago (Gazza was playing) when the Toons attacked the fans would all stand up like it was a mexican wave as the ball went forward, and when they scored it was so deafening as I have never heard U N I T E D get sung as if it was a echo from left to right. Also I will mention Pompey away in a league game as everyone of there fans was up for it (like us in the home games) As an away fan in that ****hole it does not help when the wind blows in your face with no roof cover either. What's your best away atmosphere and Im not talking a neutral ground like a semi final at villa park or Cardiff etc.

IMHO Alan Ball does not warrant a stand named after him as he achieved so much more elsewhere rather than at Saints. Channon, Mcmenemy, Le Tiss, Paine, Davies & Bates (to name a few) have done such for Saints and we should hold tight for now!

Haha it does seem silly looking back at my message, as for you Eastleigh..... Tooooo much telly ;-)

It was great reading that as I'm sat in my works canteen scoffing my sarnie, So far Cortese is ticking all the right boxes and with it he has the best manager in Pardew who will enjoy working with him too. These two things and a wealthy owner can only point you in the right direction to the premiership. Hey Crabby, I have your pm and I will text you later once I'm out there, Cant wait to meet you and Cabbage.

Talking of the 8 million fans in the south, If Pompey build a new stadium and are still a premiership club then I have no doubt I will be one of those fans...... NOT watching that shower of ****e!
-
fantastic advice. cheers! So it's option 3 then. ;-)

Yeah sure, pm me your mobile number and I will meet you for a drink m8. As for receiving phonecalls, as I run a mini business I'm gonna get some calls which are going to costs me I guess, if they talk into my voicemail when I turn the thong off will I still get charged? All I want is to browse the web on my phone without it costing me a bomb.

I hope you never named him Rupert?

Nice story Sussex, without a doubt get him to a game! I'm sure he will calm down once he's sees us haha. Seriously now I took my son to his first experience of Saints when he was 3 months old, took him to the training ground where I got 4 photos of Mark Hughes, Paul Jones, Le Tiss and Cosimo Sarli all holding him, I went back a week later after putting all four players on one A3 to sign it for me. Looked bloody good at the time!

Gone are the days when you have to fiddle with your balls for lumps, I miss playing with myself.
-
I know what I like to think but that's not the issue ;-) I do recall the last time I used a phone abroad and a 5 minute phonecall cost me £15. Never again.
-
I've no idea if my iPhone will work in Marbella next week, I have unlimited text and Internet and that's all I want to use, Is it extra costs? Cheers.

Was them there???? Did I really put that or was I still drunk from the footy?
-
had a bad limp when he came on! Bit of a showboater if I must say :-)
-
Its not moaning about the ref giving us penalties, we are discussing the talking points of the game that's all? that's why sport is so good.
-
First one not a chance, happened straight in front of me and he first knocked the ball too far and dived as well, 2nd one too far away but again it looked harsh. What about you?
-
and then £150 on city to beat united and .......... when will you stop mate? ;-)
