The so called experts premiership predictions for 2018/2019
Pilchards replied to Pilchards's topic in The Saints
Ha ha love it. Basically Saints one day will have nobody left that any premiership team would want to buy. -
The Southampton Way - Now consigned to history?
Pilchards replied to spyinthesky's topic in The Saints
Got to the stage now that I know our bloated squad will struggle as a unit. Much rather see the likes of Sims, Heskett, McQueen and Targett play every week and give 100% over the likes of Austin, Lemina, Soares and Redmond. Our current team has at least 10 poor to average players that should just **** off. -
Cedric Soares - Official: Loaned to Arsenal
Pilchards replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
It’s a poor tummy he is suffering with. -
Would you leave if you was training 4 times a week and earning just under a 100k a week?

Lets not get tonked first game of the season, keep it tight until the 70th minute and then see if the game is there to be won. A boring and defensive line up with the occasionally break to hopefully catch them off guard. McCarthy Taggart LB Bertrand RB Vestergaard Stephens Yoshida Romeu (sits in front of the back five) Lemina HOJ Armstrong Gabby 1-5-1-3-1 formation

And this is spot on. A massive squad of average players which are stopping the likes of Simms and Hesketh from getting games. -

I’m beginning to think it’s not new players we need anymore We need a new system or even a new direction as this team as a unit is lacking so many of the basics of football. -

Through the keeper, a touch of Forster about it. -

Give me Armstrong over Tadic any day. Quality high energy player that’s all over the pitch. Howeve our central defence gets carved in half too easily. -

Cedric Soares - Official: Loaned to Arsenal
Pilchards replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
We are being linked heavily with an Inter Milan right back. Someone who can tackle, dribble and cross the ball, something Soares can’t do. Cash him in and get the stupid money teams have to pay these days. -
Well he won’t be coming here as we would not of sold Tadic to them.

Think we owe to them to get this class song going after all we keep signing most of their better players. -

If I was the manager then I would cash in Lemina and get this decent centre back plus with the spare change get a decent striker like Sisto or Das Bost.
-
Totally agree. He was not really tested defensively but if he was sound on the right flank then players like him would costs 30m to buy.
-
We are going to win a few games 3-2 this season. I think I predicted this during the half time tonight

Could Southampton mount a World Cup 2030 bid?
Pilchards replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Listened to the radio recently about an England bid for the World Cup and they said that we don’t have the stadiums for it at the moment. Regulations for a stadium to host a World Cup match is they can’t be in a residential area. Manchester UTD, Liverpool and Everton was a no go but Manchester City was good. Would Saints be classed as a residential area? -
Targett can stay on the right please as he can cross 100% better than Soares. If we sell him to Fulham then our club are brain dead.
-
Exactly. We are all fart and no shi.te. If only we had someone who could take the pressure off the defence and score some goals then we might win a few games 3-2.
-
That would rule out Forster then
