They probably see it as saved wages if they don’t get someone in early. We probably offer a club a fee then improve it to the amount we think they are worth and stick with that. If another club comes in then we look at another option. All I want this transfer window are players that play regularly and not squad players at big clubs. We probably need a striker that will suit our system more. Gabby is a fantastic poacher and one to beat the last man but we are more of a team that goes down the byline and whips crosses in.

Think our CB’s are good enough if we had a demanding head winner and leader at the back. Football is all about confidence and I reckon if we get Gibson from Boro then this department will be sorted.
