  1. He is indeed. As are Vestergaard, Valery and Tella. Hojbjerg will be on the bench according to Ralph.
  2. Djenepo is out injured again. That must be at least 3 times he's been out with injury this season!? Can't imagine there will be many changes to the starting 11 given how many players are out and a lack of experience in reserve.
  3. Everton have been awful tonight against Spurs. Not sure what's happened to Sigurdsson but he looks useless.
  4. I'm really buying into Ralph's style of play now. I think it suits the PL down to a tee. We haven't seen the high press and general team organisation since the MP and RK days. Long may it continue.
  5. He was on the bench according to Sky.
  6. I'm yet to be convinced by Obafemi. Not sure he has the right mindset or skill level to make it in the premier league but we will see. I also think Ralph has reservations about this going by his recent comments. N'Lundulu did look good when playing for the Under 18s but seems to have stalled recently after a bad injury? I think Adams deserves another season here as genuinely think he has the attributes to succeed. Ralph clearly believes in him but he does need to start scoring goals sooner rather than later. If there's a promising young striker who is available for a low fee then we should go for it.
  7. Looks like a very decent finisher
  8. McCarthy KWP Stephens Bednarek Bertrand Smallbone JWP Armstrong Redmond Adams Ings Subs: Gunn, Vestergaard, Vokins, Valery, Romeu, Djenepo, Tella/Boufal, Long, Obafemi. Smallbone in CM instead of Romeu as we'll need a bit more mobility in there against City. I wouldn't bother playing Hojbjerg again after his recent performances. Adams deserves a chance up top for the rest of the season now.
  9. That was a solid, well disciplined performance. McCarthy - 7, KWP - 8, Vestergaard - 9, Bednarek - 8, Bertrand - 8, Romeu - 8, JWP - 8, Smallbone - 7, Redmond - 7, Long - 7, Ings - 9. Both Armstrong and Adams played very well when they came on. Personally I'd start Adams against Man City. We have nothing to lose and if he manages to bag a goal his confidence should rocket.
  10. Dreadful all round really, barring a couple of exceptions. I think the team needs a good shake up for the Watford game. Valery, Hojbjerg, Obafemi all deserve to be dropped. I personally don't wanna see Hojbjerg in a Saints shirt again. His commitment has been non existent in the last couple of games, along it's making very basic errors. Time to give Smallbone a proper run of games.
  11. Not sure on that but he's still recovering from a broken nose so won't be playing either way.
  12. Long for Obafemi and KWP for Valery. Going for a 2-1 win.
  13. I'd imagine the players are Walker-Peters and Juan Foyth. No wonder we've deemed it unsatisfactory.

    20/21 Kit

Would prefer it reversed but would be pretty happy with that if true.
  15. Great early confidence booster for the lads. Norwich were diabolical but you can only beat what's Infront of you. Positives - JWP, Ings, Redmond and Stephens were very good. JWP and Stephens have improved massively over the course of the season. I was very critical of them both but they are proving me wrong. Armstrong improved as the game went on and it's good to see our midfielders chipping in with more goals. Negatives - Valery was shocking again and against a better side at least 2 of his mistakes would have led to goals. Obafemi needs to get his head up more often.. he's still young and has time on his side but doesn't do enough off the ball and often makes poor decisions. Hojbjerg was pretty poor and if he keeps playing like that then no one will want to buy him this summer. Overall a job well done and if we play like we did in the second half then we will beat Arsenal.
  16. Zimmerman, Hanley, Byram and Stiepermann are ruled out for Norwich, who only have two fit centre backs..
  17. He's a pretty average premier league player. Couldn't see him getting into any top 6 sides. Everton or Newcastle (if their takeover goes through) would probably be the best he could do. Should be able to replace him relatively easily and I imagine JWP will be given the captaincy.
  18. I predict that Hojbjerg, Bertrand, Danso and Boufal will all leave in the summer. Possibly Romeu as well. That would mean we'd need the following in the summer.. 2x CB 1x RB 1x LB 2x CM 1x AM 7-8 players in one summer? It's just not going to happen.
  19. Would take a draw if offered now. After the Liverpool game we've got a much better run where we should be picking up at least 8 points, basically making us safe.
  20. We were decent enough in the first half but I never felt we were in control of the game. They put Traore up top 2nd half and that is why made the difference. Our Centre backs could not cope with his pace and power. Stephens had a very poor game - there was absolutely no need to give away that penalty, Cedric was round on the cover and would have got to the ball before the wolves player. There can't be any other Central Midfield players in the league that pass as badly as Hojbjerg surely? He must have given the ball away about 20 times today. I thought Long and Cedric were decent but Ings didn't get much of a sniff at all. We need to get something from the Palace game with Liverpool away in a couple of weeks.

    Che Adams

Nketiah maybe but aren't the other 3 very much in their first team plans?
  22. You either go back to how it was or just say anytime the ball hits a hand it's a foul. The current law is ridiculous.
  23. McCarthy Cedric Stephens Bednarek Bertrand Hojbjerg JWP Armstrong Redmond Long Ings Subs: Gunn, Yoshida, Danso, Romeu, Boufal, Djenepo, Obafemi Djenepo and Boufal both seem to have far more impact from the bench. Long had a very good game at the King Power last season and is currently the best foil for Danny Ings. Rest of the team picks itself really.
  24. Gunn Cedric Yoshida Danso Vokins Romeu Smallbone Armstrong Boufal Obafemi Adams Subs: McCarthy, Vestergaard, Bertrand, JWP, Djenepo, Redmond, Long,
  25. How did Toby get away with that handball in the penalty area today? He was a good 5 or 6 yards away from the player that struck the ball and his hand was in an unnatural position above his head. VAR really is a bit of a shambles in its current state.
