Salisu or Stephens in for Bednarek. Redmond in for Ings, Walcott up top. Vokins in for Bertrand. 1-1 draw.
-
It was a tough one for Ralph. He wanted to take Armstrong off because he was fading badly but then Bertrand got injured. Diallo seemed a bit off the pace and Ward Prowse is certainly not a left back. That coupled with Stephens being rusty/generally poor and KWP struggling against Grealish, it was always going to be a dodgy last 30 mins or so.
-
Verlaine seems to get a kick out of slagging off our players (mainly the wrong ones), so I wouldn't bother.
-
Redmond was poor first half but did improve a bit after the break. I'd stick with the same side. Use Walcott as an impact sub - it also looks like Djenepo is back in training, so possibly a fully fit squad for Ralph to pick from.
-
We would be mad not to get him signed up to a new deal. The same goes for Bertrand.
-
This really. It's a dangerous tackle and a clear red card. Intention has nothing to do with it. The fact he had two or three goes at him makes me think maybe he did mean it!
-
Looked pretty good on the ball to me.
-
With Walcott, Djenepo and Smallbone out and Armstrong not fully fit, will we see a start for Nathan Tella? Or could we play JWP on the right and give Diallo a debut in the middle?
-
Salisu still not fit according to Ralph..
-
It'll be interesting to see whether Everton opt to go for Godfrey at right back or Jonjoe Kenny who has just recovered from an ankle injury. We should definitely get at them - Iwobi nor James are interested in defending so there should be some space down the flanks. Also no silly free kicks being conceded outside the box, they're top of the list for headed goals in the last year.
-
Personally I'd be pretty happy with 3 points out of our next 2 games. Anything more will be excellent.
-
Armstrong has scored a few goals with his left foot, if that helps. I think he'd be more effective on the left than Walcott.
-
Armstrong straight in for Walcott and possibly Salisu on the bench instead of Stephens. Otherwise unchanged.
-
Although he's not massively clinical he is clearly a better football player than Shane Long. You can't put them in the same category pal.
-
Probably doing more harm than good for JWP and Ings being part of the squad at the moment. Clearly there are issues behind the scenes in the England set up along with the negative tactics and time away from the Saints training ground I can't find many positives. Obviously it's a great for their confidence etc but will they ever get a proper look in? It's highly doubtful.
-
He was an unbelieveable bargain.
-
Kinda backs up Ralph's thinking about getting Brandon Williams in on loan. A lot of our youngsters just aren't up to scratch yet, the others just aren't and won't be good enough (Valery, Slattery etc)
-
I think he's out of contract next Summer? Would be available for free in July.
-
I think he'll be a pretty good option off the bench, pretty low risk really. If Ralph is happy then I'm on board.
-
No chance
-
Probably a fair amount. Out of our price range though.
-
Grujic is a genuine defensive midfielder but also has a goal in him. The Hertha manager said that he's one of the best midfielders they have had. If we don't end up going for Diallo I'd take him over anyone else mentioned so far.
-
Nope, especially if we end up selling Boufal without an adequate replacement.
-
RLC as competition for Armstrong and Diallo as a Hojbjerg replacement? I'd be all for that. Expecting neither though.
-
I'd take odd flashes at the moment..
