Exactly. It's like purposely murdering someone and getting a year in jail, but committing manslaughter gets you life. It wouldn't be proportionate at all.
-
If we were kicked out they would need to at least postpone the final and wait for any appeal/legal process to be finished. As you say, would be chaos.
-
The independent panel shouldn't be "caving in" to anyone. They are there to look at evidence and make a decision based on that. If there is any caving in then Saints will obviously win on appeal.

Hull were supposed to release information today and didn't. I reckon the EFL have told both teams to wait pending the outcome of the investigation.
-
Yep, if we forget the first 15 minutes I thought we controlled that game, just didn't create many good chances (apart from Stewart's poor miss). Middlesbrough were decent but I never felt threatened by them once the early onslaught was over. They tired badly in both matches - we were clearly the fitter side and it just goes to show how important that is at this stage of the season especially. Hull will be a more of a physical test than Boro. We've played them twice and they bullied us off the park up at their place. At St Mary's I thought we should've got a draw at least.

Is Scienza's injury definitely ligament related? Looked like the Middlesbrough player caught his knee but presumed it was more of an impact injury than anything else.
-
This was a clear penalty for me. Scienza was also shoved over in the second half. Larins didn't look like a penalty though. So if Boro wanted two, we should've had two as well.

How professional...

Looked back to normal when he came on tonight. Held it up much better and made some good runs in behind their back line.
-
Seems to be a bit of a big game player. Thought his form was quite poor before this tie but he helped changed the game on Saturday and had a very good game tonight.
-
Also both full backs were immense tonight. James Bree was solid as a rock. Probably his best ever game for us.
-
Almost as if it was just one big plan just to unsettle us..
-
Not sure why the Boro fans weren't celebrating at the end. I mean they are going through by default, right?
-
Yes, I know others were off it too but he certainly didn't look his usual self.
-
Sensible not starting Downes. Red card waiting to happen tonight. Plus he looked very rusty on Saturday.

Middlesbrough have been kicked out for being a bunch of wet fannys

Millwall the better side as the final league table suggested. Hull have had a couple of good chances though. If we were to progress I'd rather play Hull for sure.
-
They seem incredibly insecure about the whole situation. They have no confidence in their side to beat us so are convincing themselves we will be thrown out of the play offs.
-
What I've noticed about Wood is he's a great last ditch defender but not so good at picking men up inside the box. He's about as good a back up as you'll get at this level though so no complaints from me.
-
Not sure about that, he's put in some pretty good performances in big games. Coventry away, Wrexham away, Ipswich home for example. And has generally held the ball up better than Stewart since he's been here. That wasn't the case yesterday though.
-
If we play like we did for the majority of the second half today (more like how we normally play) then I think we'll win. I genuinely don't believe Middlesbrough could play much better than they did today, yet they couldn't beat us.
-
Yep. He was terrible. It happens. Although tbf we were just pumping pretty aimless balls up to him with little or no support around him, which didn't help matters.

Peretz, Bree, THB, Wood, Manning, Downes, Jander, Matsuki, Azaz, Scienza, Stewart
-
Negatives - the whole first half apart from Peretz and THB. Positives - the second half display and the impact from the substitutes.
-
Matsuki and Charles have changed this game
