Anyone know if he's signed in time for tomorrow?
-
With Che and Tella playing I'd have said a nailed on home win. Without them I'm much more pessimistic. Alcaraz is probably our best hope.
-
That'll take the total sales past £160m (not including sell ons so it'll be a bit less in reality). Only £12m spent. I know there's an element of balancing the books, which you would expect, but that is very concerning if Fraser is indeed the Tella replacement.

Bazunu; KWP, Stephens, Bednarek, Manning; Charles, Downes, Alcaraz; Edozie, SAA (Fraser), Armstrong. Subs: Lumley, Lyanco, Perraud, Bree, S.Armstrong, Aribo, Djenepo, Mara, Ballard. If rumours about Che & Tella not being involved are true. Very lightweight up top all of a sudden.
-
I actually think Edozie has more potential than Tella. He just doesn't have the end product that Nathan has shown over the last year or so. Let's hope he can start finding some.
-
Get the feeling Che will be gone next week.
-
If Tella is off I'm guessing Painstil was our first choice replacement. He turned us down so we've panicked and got Fraser in on loan instead.
-
I'd like to think if we lost ABK we would bring in someone a bit better than Holgate. Hopefully this means Lyanco is on his way out.
-
Hove or Wood I'm guessing?
-
It seems like we finally have a full back that can cross the ball as well
-
Without departures I think we still need a CB. Lyanco is crap and ABK will probably be injured for most of the season (if he somehow stays)
-
I'd give Sulemena a few more matches before we place him in the same bracket as Djenepo
-
I've never understood this "never change a winning team" malarkey. If Alcaraz/Downes are fit enough then I'm sure they will start as Alcaraz is one of our best players and Downes potentially could be.
-
Agree with this. I doubt Swansea are in the driving seat at all really. If we offer £15m or so for Piroe or Wood then they will come to us.
-
I guess this is the issue with selling before you buy. If Everton keep fanning around then it could get to a stage where we sell him towards the end of the window and our main targets have been signed by other teams. Saints wouldn't be that stupid, would they?
-
No apparently they want to pay less than £7m of the £15m fee upfront. Clearly we won't accept that, I'd imagine we'd want more of the total fee now.
-
Having seen their game at West Ham, Lavia could make an immediate impact in Chelsea's midfield.
-
I very much doubt it, you don't tend to see recall clauses in important loan deals like this one. I doubt we would've agreed to that.
-
I'd imagine the players we were scouting for Ralph/Jones were different as the style of play has totally changed. As has been mentioned by Wilcox and Martin, we are targeting players that have shown they can play a certain way/have the potential to do that. Obviously ones that play for Man City/Swansea are no brainers in that respect.
-
Lyanco potentially off to Qatar
-
Seems like Everton can't even afford £7 million upfront on the Adams deal...
-
I mean technically we would be stronger at CB if Wood is better than Bednarek. Not numbers wise obviously.
-
Must admit I do like the look of Archer from Villa. Looks good with both feet, quick, good finisher and seems pretty composed for a relatively young lad
-
Personally I'd entertain offers for Mara, or at least try and loan him out. Just doesn't seem up to it at present. Adams, Mara and Tall Paul out 2x new strikers in and use Ballard as the 3rd/4th option.
-
He won't be on 80k a week after the relegation wage cut. Nowhere near.
