I'm supposed to be there at 10.30. I'll probably be stuck in traffic 😉

There's also a bit on the Club site about having to use the NHS Track and Trace App. I haven't got it as my phone is about 3 years old. So I assume there will be some form filling to be done.

They are just following the Government regulations.

Same as mine. It says that the actual ticket will be available in 3 days.

Calling public sector workers "yoghurt knitters" denotes a somewhat immature attitude. It's quite possible to put forward a cogent argument without resorting to childish insults. It just weakens your case.

That's a very sweeping statement. I've known many managers in the private sector who didn't want to do their own jobs let alone anyone else's. Back in the summer I had to go to A&E at Southampton General with a nasty head injury. After an X-ray and 35 stitches I was given a prescription for a couple of items from the hospital pharmacy. By now it was quite late and the pharmacy had closed. I mentioned this to a passing nurse who disappeared and came back with the pharmacist who was about to go home. He opened up the pharmacy and got me items on my prescription. He didn't have to do it but he went out of his way to help me out.

They did mine in the car park.

Must be past his bedtime. He's got school in the morning.

"No one else would have faired any better"? He was part of a government that has presided over one of the worst death rates in the world (even higher than Trump's). Many other countries have done far better Not sure what he was boasting about. The vaccine was developed by a Turkish scientist working for a German/US company and is manufactured in Belgium. He says we're better than the EU countries because they want to take a longer look at the safety issues. Just hope no corners were cut.

When he was Defence Minister, they didn't call him "Private Pike" for nothing.
-
Talentless people I've never heard of who are described as "celebrities".

Credit to Sir Alex for sending Ralph a supportive message after "that" result which we no longer mention. Thought Holloway quite entertaining as is Neil Warnock especially if he's upset about something. Clough was the master. Don't remember any other manager being applauded by the home fans as they walked to the dugout at The Dell.

You're contradicting yourself there. If there's no evidence, you're just speculating.

I was reading some Maradona quotes. On Messi and Ronaldo he said: When Messi scores, he celebrates, when Ronaldo scores, it's like he's posing for a shampoo commercial".
-
I was phoned this morning checking if I wanted to be in the ballot. If you are successful, you don't go into subsequent ballots in order to give others a chance.
-
Even with his hand in the air, how did Maradona at 5ft 5in outjump Shilton at 6ft?
-
Yep, the lot of them. Everyone's always going on about their "rights". There should also be responsibilities, one of which should be to look after yourself and not expect the state to pick up the pieces of your irresponsible behavior. I'd have thought that a right-winger like you would approve.

People who decline a vaccination should sign a waver that says, if they later contract Covid-19, they do not want to be treated by the NHS.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

One would assume that MPs will turn down their proposed pay rise to show that we're all treated the same -

Just another example of how corrupt this shower are. -
Still find it amazing that Taiwan have had only 7 deaths from Covid-19. That's out of 607 cases. Admittedly, they only have a population of 24 million but it makes our efforts look truly pathetic.

Interesting look on the weekend shenanigans: https://members.tortoisemedia.com/2020/11/17/halloween-2020-day-2-lockdown-meltdown/content.html?ncid=newsltukhpmgpols

George Eustice was asked on Sunday what would happen to UK lamb exports (92% go to the EU) in the event of a no-deal when a 35% tariff would be imposed. Easy, he said, they just put the prices up. When asked what would happen if they decided to buy their lamb elsewhere he said the farmers could switch to raising cattle. He should try raising cattle on a Welsh hill farm, the farmers would be wiped out. Are there any competent ministers in this Government?

UK fishing is worth about £1.8bn which is less than the turnover of Harrods. Back in the 80's the EU offered its members grants to modernise their fishing fleets. The only proviso was that each country had to contribute an equivalent amount. Thatcher decided that the UK would not take part, so French and Dutch fleets were modernised and expanded and ours stagnated. Many UK fishermen either then sold their quotas and leased them to European operators. 75% of UK fish is exported, mostly to the EU. if there's no deal these exports will be subject to a 48 hour certification process with the resulting loss of quality and value of the catch. Why so much fuss over an industry which is less than 0.1% of our GDP?
