  3. I see that Boris has put Gavin Williamson up for a knighthood. This idiot is up there with Chris Grayling on the incompetency scale. He must have some compromising stuff from his time as Chief Whip. He will now be able to be incompetent in the House of Lords.
  4. I can remember one day off due to snow at junior school in about 1960. During the big freeze of 62-63 I was at grammar school and had to take a train and a bus to get there but never missed a day (and the trains kept running).

  14. Only 74. Still got "Bat Out Of Hell" that I bought back in 1977.
  15. With all the noise about "Partygate", this has been a bit under the radar: https://uk.news.yahoo.com/rishi-sunak-uk-government-treasury-writes-off-43bn-covid-payments-stolen-fraudsters-000107381.html Would have been a bit different if it was benefit claims.
  16. The i newspaper gave a score from 1 to 10 to each of the team. Hameed got -1, the first time that they've awarded a negative score.
  17. Sierra Leone had 4 players named Kamara in the team and another 2 on the bench.
  18. 60 people have a piss-up in the Downing Street garden and the police don't notice (or chose to ignore it) while 2 women who drove 10 minutes to have a stroll by a Derbyshire reservoir and drink coffee were accused of having a picnic and fined £200 each. This sums up the Met nicely: https://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/society/a-hundred-people-bringing-their-own-booze-and-other-things-the-met-police-havent-noticed-20220111216145
