Just over 2 years ago we were top of the table. Couldn't maintain that but finished 15th. Ings left and it appeared that Broja was a capable replacement until he went off the boil after Christmas. Pretty much downhill from there on. It was glaringly obvious that we needed to sign a striker in the summer and, when we didn't, I think that Ralph lost heart and was probably happy to take his payoff and go back to Austria. The Jones appointment was unexpected and although he had a 5 weeks to work with his squad, there appears to be no idea of what sort of a team we are. His media appearances are bizarre, mainly him telling us how good he was at Luton and constatly referring to the team as "they". Definite parallels with Liz Truss and her statement yesterday where she blamed everyone else.

He did similar with Frank after he lost 6 of his first 7 and then 8 of his first 10. But Frank seems to be a normal rational bloke.
