We also no longer have one of the 2/3 best teams in the league, it’s always going to be easier to look good when you have the best players (ask pep) we now have one of the 4/5 worst teams in the league so insisting on playing in a way that hands opportunities to the opposition is madness even city don’t much about with it and the back as much as we do because they don’t want to be handing other teams the opportunity to score easy goals.

Surely it is if the manager is the problem and he is unwilling to change then he should go? Nobody else is responsible for telling players without the ability to do it to play the ball around in our own box and invite the opposition onto us time and time again. If Martin swallows his pride, sets us up differently against United and ditches the suicidal tippy tappy in the box nonsense then I'm ok with him staying but if he is unwilling to change and change quickly then he will be the reason we go down this season.

I don't think anyone thinks otherwise but if we are going to hand teams 2 goals leads it's not going to be hard it's going to be impossible! I fully expect us to struggle this season and I wouldn't be overly surprised if we went down but at the minute we look more like we are going to be down by the end of October!

I'm happy to call for his head if he is unwilling or unable to change the way he sets the team up, the board should have a quick chat and ask him if he intends to persist with gifting the opposition a handful of tap ins a game and if he says yes they should show him the door.

and if we are going to play it around between the backline they need to be further up the pitch so every mistake doesn't become an instant goal scoring opportunity, giving the opposition the ball in or on the edge of the box 3 or 4 times a game is going to give us a mountain we can't climb as premier league player don't miss many of those chances even the lesser team have forwards who will punish us/

Amusingly I said after the three games in a row screw up just after the start of last season that the automatic slots were gone and that the play offs were the best we could hope for... This season unless the penny drops very soon we will be relegated, our squad isn't good enough to make up for the goals we will concede playing this way unlike last season when it was.

The sad thing is we will know as soon as the lineup is announced if he has done anything with the two week break! If we lineup with 3 at the back the we know nothing has changed and Man Utd will likely absolutely thrash us.

He didn't explain himself at all, it was a cleverly worded statement that avoided explaining what beliefs it is that prevent him from participating in the show of support. Had he at least included something like 'I fully support peoples right to equal treatment whatever there sexuality' I might have had more time for him but he didn't he just made a nicely worded statement that basically says I don't believe in supporting the rights of people with a different sexuality.

I think he was implying that if by some miracle GB is both for and good enough to dislodged Ramsdale in January then that would be a massive bonus as GB would have undergone a significant improvement while out injured! At least that’s what I hope he was saying!

Would be a good move for me, JWP is a better player than smallbone any day of the week. If he has a good season on loan and we stay up then sell him if we go down he comes back in to help us get back to the prem.

Let’s hope Yuri is the exception that proves the rule! Maybe he moved to Europe too young and a period back at home developing will have got him to the right level. Given he has a full international cap there must have been a time when much was expected of him!

Will be interesting to see what becomes of him, not many players who go back to South America from Europe ever resurface but at least if Charlie does we should get a hefty sell on fee. Good luck to the lad he always put the effort in but it hasn't worked out for him here.
