  1. Boring....These people have no intention of giving the club money, besides why would the bank allow them to loan money that is only to be spent on players when we owe them millions? any cash injection will disapear into the repayments unless it's massive.
  2. isn't he left footed? Besides his lack of height could be just as easily exploited at full back as it can be in midfield, the oposition just drop long balls into his area all night. I'm not sure it's fair to pick on his size either from what I've seen he's been one of our most consistent performers this season and i'm surprised it's taken so long for him to get a shot at the first team.
  3. Might be a non league side in a public park being watched by a few hundred people and a dog. I wouldn't be so sure we will survive administration there will be clubs disapear as has happened in the past I just hope we are not the first to have to start again from the bottom.

  5. before the john news 2-1 saints, now 2-1 swansea
  6. Hmmm, thats a bit worrying we now have three teeny bopper strikers with all the physical presence of a wet blanket! Whats this Patterson Character in the reserves like? It looks like he maybe getting the call sooner than we all thought assuming he's not yet another midget to come out of our specialist dwarf academy! Clutching at straws but maybe it's time for Euell to refind his goal scoring touch, he was pretty hiighly rated as a youngster and we sure as hell need someone to start banging the goals in! Maybe leicester will loan us Howard he may not be total football but he knows where the goal is at. I really really can't believe just how far we have fallen in such a short space of time maybe it's time to face the reality that maybe saints won't be here forever afterall? I'm not so sure the current economic climate is going to make poping in and out of administration the straight forward procedure it has been for other clubs. Lets hope we don't go the way of Acrington Stanley and Aldershot.
  7. I'm not surprised others think we are relegation candidates when half our fans also think we are!
  8. I was going to start a similar thread, I don't get to many games being based up north and always busy infact last night was my first game since the Sheffield Wednesday embaressment last season. What a contrast in Kelvin at Wednesday last year he was giving the fans the bird and playing worse than my gran yet last night he was incredible stopping shots, comming for crosses and organising his deffence then to top it all off the fans finished the match singing super Kelvin! What a remarkable turn around, it may have taken a couple of seasons but it looks like he's finally got his confidence back and we are seeing some return on our investment. On a side note great effort from the fans last night not a huge turn out but still contributed more to the atmosphere than the home contingent in the first 60 minutes!
  9. Plenty of street parking in the area just get there early if you want to minimise the walk. Avoid parking at B&Q and other stores in the area as they have been known to get a bit generous with the fines!
  10. Reminds me of the good old days when we had at least one totally random signing a season, think Frederico "The Torpedo" Arias or Andrei Kanchelskis! PS I hope he performs better than both of those did in a saints shirt, I still can't believe old Andrei got Matty's shirt!
  11. I love the saints, but I dsiapare at how far we've fallen. I remember not so long ago being pround to be a saints fan now I'm just shocked and bemused. I log on looking for a pre-view of this weekends game and discover yet another bizare transfer, we need a nother striker like we need a hole in the head. Portaloo out!! it's time for a real manager if he's not making the decisons surely a real man would have jacked it in already, if we don't show some balls soon this club will disapear without trace.
  12. One of the best, never quite the same after he left Saints which I always thought was a shame. Would have him in his prime over just about any keeper I've ever seen.
  13. find me a successfull team anywhere in the world that has aperated without decent specialist full backs, if your comment held an ounce of truth why do all the top teams in all the top leagues play with proper fullbacks? What ever you say about mobile players the first job of the defenders will always be too defend and our full backs let the oposition get into two many decent crossing positions putting the central defenders under too much pressure. Next you'll be saying we don't need a prolific frontman we need a mobile player who can get people involved, oh thats what we have and it's not working! Not knocking his siging he may indeed be quality but hardly our most pressing need.
  14. Shame he can't play at full back and he's crocked.
  15. If we are only going to play one striker we need one who is clinical not one who needs 4 chances for every goal, Rasiac was proven to have this ability but is gone, John has proven himself to have close to this ability but is strangely out of form, McGoldrick has proven himself not to have this ability so are only hope is that Pekhart has it or the manager decides that two up is the way to go. Our current team does not have enough goals in it for anything othrt than a low mid table finish or a relegation fight. The teams who do well in this league have a striker who gets 20-30 league goals we need one or we need the one we had back!
  16. and like it or not one of the best goal scoring records of any striker in the league, i would much rather he was playing and scoring to improve the chances of someone offering us decent cash for him. I'd actually rather he was still playing upfront for us but I'm pretty much on my own there!
  17. Total c*ck glad he's nowhere near our club his attitude stinks how he has gone through the same academy experience as all the other decent lads and turned into such a n*bber is beyond me.
  18. pointless thread, we will lose two players one of whom hasn't even played yet so can hardly be described as influential. If I remember rightly last time Birmingham were promoted half there first team was on loan from Arsenal and it didn't seem to bother them much. For the first time in ages I'm enjoying being a saints fan and hearing people talk about our football rather than our off the field problems lets just enjoy it while we can?
