  1. Pace up front, and the lift he would bring to the club, would be a massive bonus. As for Arsenal fan saying the would drive him here, probably the same morons we have on here who have said similar things about ours. I take little notice of opposing fans opinions as most don't know a decent player when they see one.
  2. yep
  3. there is the Flex as well
  4. Walcott never developed as much as he should have due to Wenger. It is a myth that Wenger is brilliant at bringing young players on. He picks them but they never seem to really fulfil their talent. Id love Walcott back
  5. Classy on his day. Will be interesting to see how he copes of being under the microscope of every goal going in. You can see the media dissecting every goal and they will be looking for VVD part in each
  6. LOL. normally I would give a keeper a bit of slack but that!!! Look where he was standing. I doubt there is a keeper in the top 3 leagues who would not have stopped that , apart from ours. Its down to coaching, and we have a goalkeeping coach who is not very tall and so does not know how to dominate an area, therefore unable to coach him how to.
  7. I wonder after VVD was not in the squad to protect him from injury over the week=end that we must have been chasing Sturridge for about 4 years

    Les Reed

I really am not a fan of Reed but he is behind getting these players in. I do wonder if there is incentives of commission on the sale of a player. Much like managers used to get. If so it is a conflict of interest. I would keep him, but there are question marks about his tenure
  9. that's what we had under the last manager lol
  10. If Man City want a player they can get him I would have thought. Klopp has thrown his hat on VVD being the answer and has got Liverpool to sign him, add to their defensive woes they had to get him and so pay over the top ( if 75m is true)
  11. Interesting that Pep says he didn't want VVD
  12. it has been like this for years now. Forget not when we had the meltdown when we sold Lallana , Chambers , Rickie and Lovren the board told us the money would be reinvested. We were given the impression it was then and now but turned out to be in the future and would also include wages. Cynical use of words. It would be great to know what the real fee is, the published fee maybe a lot different to the real one. Its all smoke and mirrors
  13. isn't Burnley his level though? He is doing a magnificent job moulding hardworking players to their best, but I'm not sure he will play the silky football our fans demand
  14. I agree about Rodgers and Dembele, but not selling McQueen and Redmond. A good manager would get the best out of them. Pep obviously can see the potential that Redmond has, and is also frustrated seeing his progress stopped.
  15. Forster, I have been banging on about it for a couple of seasons now, our goalkeeping coach is useless. The first goal was pathetic. Forster rooted to the spot when a cross came in 3 yards from goal. In sport you need to be on your toes ready to spring and move quickly, Forster's feet are buried in the soil, he also is far to tight to the line. Any half decent coach would utilise his height and reach to clean out any forward. Its about time we got a coach in to hone the advantages Forster has, he is a massive investment in wages and so we need to get someone who can make FF the keeper he really can be
  16. we have got a lot more money, and Liverpool have not had the chance to go for the league. I wonder if VVD has made a major mistake in his choice of club. He has been put to the Liverpool fans as the instant remedy to their defensive woes. Every goal will be looked at, and if is see to be making mistakes the pressure will grow on him. Yes in form he is a fantastic defender, but he was lax on a few occasions last season, especially when forwards got in front of him at the front post
  17. don't worry ive sat through many turgid games under many managers. lol
  18. Not before his medical anyway
  19. I assume one or 2 people pointed out his error lol
  20. Fair point Ron, lets go forward together as Churchill said lol
  21. Eventually we might get used to it, and see every player as a mercenary. The poor kids who worship a player and then they move off within a couple of seasons. At least when I was kid the stars stayed quite a long time before they left, like Davies nd Channon
  22. he's looking to get into the media and so wants to get a name for himself
  23. but a lot of players we have never heard of before they arrive. The full back at Bristol City looked pretty decent the other day, there must be others around
