  1. it would be interesting on here if he was appointed, it would be the biggest meltdown since Chernobyl. Apparently Steve Bruce is big mates with Les
  2. well is that is the case they should have stopped selling our gems under our mangers noses. We will see what transpires now our players are on long contracts but I wouldnt hold your breath
  3. Koeman had Pelle to lump the ball up to and play off that, we lost him and Mane who had electric pace. Koeman has another big lump up front at Everton and so his way works there. The fans blamed the manager but it was the lack of a goalscorer who didnt put away the gilt edged chances we created. I dont believe we played scintillating football under Koeman but what did happen that Pelle Mane or Long did score and that glossed over some of the boring stuff we served up. Score a goal and all looks rosy, Puel was left with nobody with that ability.
  4. Yep, but he was just learning the language, he was getting better. If you look at the interviews at the start of the season compared to towards the end he was improving.
  5. they will leave it as long as possible so that the best players are gone and the new man wont have that on him at the start.
  6. Agree, he was let down by the board, his goalscorers and his tv interviews
  7. that is not as I see it. One thing is for certain the young who didnt bother voting in the EU vote would come out in force next time. Add to that the many who realised that they were duped would also switch sides. Personally I would like another referendum but I cant see it happening
  8. My hope is that the Tories know what Corbyns manifesto his he can use next election, he can hardly bribe the young much more with his sweet policies. The Tories have to bin their current manifesto and come forward with their own sweetners. I wonder if the top 5% would stomach the Tories saying 'right we are going to put up the higher rate of tax by say 3-5%, that money to be used for getting a lot more of the lower earners to not pay tax,' or other schemes, I suggest that we have had a shock of the prospect of Corbyns etc and would accept to pay a larger slice to appease the ones looking up. Iam expecting to pay a large slice more when the Corbyns come in and so would rather pay more with a Tory government avoiding the nonsense nationalisation of the rail , vat on school fees, 5% corp tax increase etc etc
  9. If the EU refenendum was done now the remainers would win hands down as only now is the inflation now creeping in and showing what the future will bring. An idiotic decision by the masses and when we get Corbyn that will make the set
  10. this thread will come back and be hilarious in a year or 2. He is a classy player and will be a massive sale for the club again
  11. well it is hypocrisy, the only reason you have ISA's is to avoid paying tax, in so doing reducing the Governments resources, it is legal I never said any differently, but I don't go around spouting off about social justice. If you were earning £1m a year you would be looking for ways of avoiding paying 500k of it to the Government. It is how it is.
  12. Very chunky legs
  13. as its Isa's and so avoiding tax that's alright as its his money, but if its other people who will lose their money that's ok, you know the rules of Socialists Envy and jealousy, a true socialist would not bother trying to save paying any tax as they would be contributing to all peoples good. I would add that I do not have any ISAs
  14. Corbyn will not change his manifesto for the next election unless he can offer even more inducements to get votes, I'm bloody sure the Tories wont fight the next election on their present one. The result has shown that a large number of people will vote for freebies, the Tories had better offer some lovely options, perhaps a holiday for all, they could borrow for the next generations to pay as well
  15. Are they both legal? Is the idea of ISA's to avoid paying tax ? if not just leave it in a building society. You don't want to pay more tax on some savings, I don't blame you for that.
  16. No different than the schemes by the rich and famous, legal ways of paying less tax. Of course as always with Socialists its ok if they do it but jealousy if others do
  17. depends if the interviews were done in the South of France, if they were done in Woolston then perhaps you have a point
  18. Well it depends if it is undermining the Government or nations interests. I assume it would be ok for Farage to go over and start negotiating with the EU. We were at war (their words)with the IRA and so he was undermining our forces and giving them (in their minds) some extra impetus.
  19. Please explain what exactly what a hard brexit is?? I have heard about soft and hard brexits but nobody has quite come out and told us
  20. http://www.newyorker.com/news/daily-comment/the-book-of-jeremy-corbyn?mbid=social_facebook
  21. to be fair he is not a champagne socialist, but the majority are Brilliant bit of bribary getting the kids onside by offering free uni fees and £10 an hour. Not bright enough to realise that that will just price them out of work
  22. So Lord Haw Haw was a f'ing hero in his contributuion making the peace. Neother had the permission of HM Government to go and talk
  23. it is still avoiding paying tax in a legal way, I would have thought that soaking the rich and making them pay more would resonate and so you would not ever consider trying to avoid a tax
  24. what , dont you want to pay your tax? as those are ways of avoiding tax
  25. So the Everton game wasnt a superb performance then? Personally if we had Gabbi earlier he would have taken many of the chances we created during games. I like Long and he adds a bit to us but he just cant score enough from the gilt edge chances he gets. Jrod also
