yep was all ready to do so and join Poch. I know this as at that time as I knew somebody who socialised with him regularly
-
Odd that where they say they wont make a move unless we show an inclination to sell him as surely they have to ask for us the show the inclination. I agree they will get him to strike or put in a transfer request. As I put earlier in the thread that he will probably do an interview in a foreign newspaper sayig how he wants to go etc and it will be said that his words were lost in translation. It will do the job for them though. Interestingly Liverpool dont seem to be trying for defenders elsewhere and so may feel they will be getting him
-
who on earth could that be lol
-
Notice that the article says VVD is keen to join them, all part of the erosion of the fans love for him. LFC will use all their various media outlets to get him. Whilst the club say hes not for sale Im sure they will let him go eventually.
-
More so that he got into the position in the first place

So are you saying that wage rises dont add to inflation, and in turn inflationary pressures are not combatted by higher interest rates?
-
I didnt mention productivity, so dont get what you mean?

Sky Sports - No 'top' players leaving Southampton this summer.

I dont know why we all get hung up about the price the club gets. Firstly it goes to the owners not us and secondly the club in theory can say whatever figure it likes the press to tell us, but may take considerable less. Its all smoke and mirrors -
It is a two edged sword. Wages go up and so inflation follows, that erodes peoples spending power , add to that the interest rates rise to help pull inflation back. What ithink would be best is that the 40+% tax payers pay a bit more and raise the tax threshold for the lower paid. That would give them more money rather than a pay rise. I dont know what % increase that would need to increase, and so it might not be practical but Im prepared to pay some more for that. Not to pay for kids to go to Uni if they are going for some obscure degree that means nothing.

I like the in the know posts, some come true others dont but they are interesting all the same
-
but if they have release clauses, which Im surprised is not the case. A agent worth his salt would/should put one in
-
Obviously VVD feels they are the elite as he seems to have expressed an interest to go there
-
Thanks for that. I doubt the club want the info about his contract to come out as then they cant tell us that they had no choice. I suspect they will accept the £75 or thereabouts as they love to go and sell and buy another player at a lower price to see if they can sell him on again. I would be amzed if we then bought another CB to displace Stevens as that would mean we are blocking the route to our acadamy and Reed will not want that.

Just shows to me that its built on sand. You are far more gemmed up on this than Iam and so I respect your faith but I wouldnt want to put money into what seems to be a risky gamble.
-
yes a very good article.

Well I suspect his agent will be in the dock as well as Liverpool. Do you have any good claims lawyers? you must know one. I want to make a claim against Liverpool FC as their tapping up has made me unwell and stressed, I got whiplash as I keep banging my head on the desk as Im so upset, which has in turn damaged the designer desk. Liverpool have admitted they have done wrong so its just a case of agreeing the compensation. I reckon £1m will be a fair starter.

Im sure that info is from reliable sources

The fireworks parade hasnt started yet,

Hargreaves Lansdown today 9. Cryptocurrency Bitcoin had a rough start to the week It's a rough start to the week for bitcoin. The cryptocurrency trades down 10.11% on Monday, at $2,275 a coin, a one-week low. The action seems to be a continuation of the selling that developed on Wednesday, when rival Ethereum flash-crashed from $296 to 10 cents before recovering its losses. This seems a very dodgy investment IMHO

perhaps we should give free Uni education like the Scots. Im all for it, as long as it is on the Scot model. Only 15% get in and must have at least 3 grade A's to do so.

I suggest that the middle Englanders will have had a bit of a shock and make sure they go and vote next time. It will be on a knife edge and could go either way. Labour are energised and they have a mindset that they won, even thohgh they lost by 60 seats. If ever there was a time for a Macron type figure this isit as many of the Tory /Liberal/ Centre Labout vote is disenchanted with any of the leaders. Phillip Hammond has done himself a little bit of good by his speech last week but there is little choice if you are not Left wing
