I didn't set the benchmark,it was others calling for a manager who in the most important game at home against a dire team losing to replace ours. Why do fans think that we would do any good this season when we replaced Wanyama with Romeau (a downgrade) and Mane with Redmond (not yet as good but will be very good) add to that losing VVD, Fonte and Austin.

Imagine Puel losing at home to Sunderland lol
  5. All true.I think you put up that we had something like 20% of our working population were on sick pay/unable to work. I wonder what % the workforce in in India, China or Indonesia has? I bet because they are not pampered like us that it is a lot lower
  6. I want trhe NHS to thrive and it is a fantastic asset, but do you not see the scaremongering that they put to people in the past and proved not to be true. Labour throw the NHS thing out time and again to try and deceive us.
  7. yep go and up the Corporation tax, and watch the companies up and go in this global world. We need to encourage companies to come here and invest in jobs and pay some tax rather than let those people go to countries who will take them with open arms.
  8. How much did the club presidents pay for their share of the club? It seems they are going to get back £6m if I read it correctly.
  9. yeah perhaps,
  10. ok sorry I missed the massive upsurge in the likelyhood of those parties wining lots of seats....also that many of the Labour heartlands supported Brexit and so not likely to vote for Remainers
  11. Seems like Diane Abbot did the maths for these past gems
  12. Les Reeds toy has lost its wheels it seems. With all these things it is the quality of the material you put in to get a quality one at the end.I assume our scouts are not quite as good as they used to be
  13. yes thats my point. If she has enough less very eurosceptics who are pragmatic she will be able to defeat a revolt in her own party
  14. I listened to this last night, comparing David Armstong to Stevn Davis FFS. Armstrong was a different league, as much as I like Davis he is nothing to what Armstrong did. Generally I feel the show is a little slow and perhaps you need another contributor to pep up the conversation. I still enjoyed listening although it is hard work at times
  15. what a thumping majrity brings is the chance for May to get a softer Brexit. If she comes back with a deal some of the very UKIP/Eurosceptic mps dont like, she will still be able to push it through. Come back with the same deal with a 20 majority and it is hard Brexit or nothing. We all should hope for a large majority for that reason IMHO

Personally I wonder if this time next year we may be delighted for a top half finish.
  17. Get Diane Abbot to calculate the spending and we all wont have to pay much tax at all.
  18. obviously there are no austerity cuts in that area and the council can afford these events!!!! If i was a local council tax payer I would ask questions to this waste

which one? the one under Koeman or this season
  20. Surely not Ralph told us that this wont happen..............
  21. I assume he seen that they can generate £m's from somewhere to get his investment retruning. Where I dont know, the cost of a new even a 20k stadium must be now in the 60-80m mark. He also has to get past the planners and the locals near a stadium, we know our own problems doing that in the past. I assume he hasnt come across the planning you need over here compared to the US
  22. well tell that to Man City and Man Utd fans this weekend

it will be a disgrace if Puel goes. He hasnt had time to get the team together to his wishes. LM got relegated in his first season, Im so glad the board didnt buckle to the fans then. The best we can ever get now is 7th unless the bigger clubs take their eyes off the ball again like they did for the previous 3 seasons. We had our chance for real glory when had we invested instead of selling we may have pushed on. Now we haev to fight to stay in the middle part of the table, and hope for good cup runs. Puel got us to a final and all the great feeling that went with it, he should be given the chance to do similar again. If Puel did great after match interviews by telling the fans how great they are he would have lots behind him, but all it seems to matter is that he is not a big personality.
  24. Perhaps Pompey will go to the council and get them to do a deal with the taxpayers money (again) The Liverpool council have bought Evertons training ground and then letting them pay at a reduced rent, no doubt they will try and put this forward to their local council
  25. have you only just realised that??? Go back in my posts at the start and you will see me saying the sameIt took 7 years for the EU to negotiate a trade deal with Canada, so it was never going to take only 2 in something so complex as us leaving.
