  1. Please show where it is a problem to me? I have consistantly said it is KL money and she can do what she likes with it, if she wishes to withdraw some that is fine, but do not have people mislead fans by telling them all the money is going to be spent, as that is not the case from where i am sitting. At this moment very little of what Krueger has said has come to pass. He is the Pied Piper of St Marys, he blows his little whistle and the members of Saintsweb just blindly follow. Apparently he was at a do last night and told people that there was to be a signing last night (I assume Taider , loan switch) and that there are a few this week. I will be delighted we have more bodies to fill the void of quality, but IMO loanees do not make me feel as good about things and it is hardly spending the money in. I was very much in favour of prudence and can live with it, but to be prudent whilst telling everybody you are spendthrift to get them to feel good and spend on S/T new shirts etc is plain wrong
  2. if he said the roads were paved with gold many on here would believe him. He just is a firefighter and good at PR
  3. KL is entitled to look after her inheritance but why then let her reps mislead the fanbase? If we are trying to steady the ship 'we will spend every penny on transfers and wages' does not follow. The blind faith in what Krueger says is quite amzing
  4. I would prefer Marshall of Cardiff as he has proven himself in the PL
  5. Krueger does not seem to be the type to use a false name on a forum. Iam 100% sure it is not him
  6. thaat makes me feel a lot better if we have signed more than QPR, although deadline day Harry likes to keep his media profile up by having about 10 as the window closes and the Sky cameras are chasing to get pics of him
  7. Samaras, as he doesnt ever pass to anyone in a better position.
  8. In theory this could be the reason, but you have to buy into the fact that KL is prepared to risk a lot of her fortune. Personally i dont think she will. I do wonder how many of the believers also state we had reached the 'glass ceiling' You know where Iam in the debate but I respect your much greater knowledge of the FFP rules than I. Financially to make the club strong enough by replacing sales with players to keep you in the top 10, and all the TV money etc that would bring, is a better financial aim than rolling the dice in some warped game/fantasy of competing with the major clubs, and at the same time risking the PL status.
  9. probably a better source than Krueger or Reed;)
  10. No offence taken Polaroid, i know my faults. I look at things through my SFC specs. I do not get the FFP stance on this as, I do not believe the people in place have the same ambition that ML and NC had. Therefore I cant hold to the argument that we want to go through the glass ceiling. What they want to do is to put in place the concept of never getting relegated and developing youth players to be sold year on year. Chambers could not have been part of getting the wage structure right and the paln to evolve would have needed us to have players wanted by Man U Liverpool etc to pay the vast sums. I will accept i am missing some of the more unique parts of this plan, but the easy idiot guide to all this which Iam a fully paid up member, is that KL wants to get some of her inheritance out and so balance her risk has been reduced. The Liebherr way was always every business has to stand on its own feet, therefore balancing the books may be all this is.
  11. I would love to inherit a NHL team but i would not have the love of the game as i would if it was SFC. My point of course is that i would not be devoted as I believe KL is not
  12. Has anyone got images of the construction of Fratton Park? If so can we play them backwards so that we can have a happy ending.
  13. I was talking about Hockey not your dancing on ice game. KL had no interest in football and I believe she has not much interest in it now. Yes she has vested interest but not the love of the game people do on here. Therefore if I took the ownership of a Hockey/Rugby club i would go along and see how the business was going along, enjoy the corporate entertainment and then go home and watch the football.
  14. Doddery old fart I might be, but it is quite poignant that we have the anniversary of the First World War, what was the saying then? Lions let by Donkeys.Redsio gives an interesting side to the debate but your desperation for RK not to be misleading makes you grasp at straws. It was only a few weeks back that we had reached the glass ceiling, now all of a sudden we have sold the best of our squad, only a complete meltdown of the fanbase made the sale of MS stop. (surely the unrest would not have stopped their plan as that would have been part of the jig-saw for the FFP?) and now we have Baldricks cunnng plan wheeled out that we are selling the family silver so that we can afterall break the glass ceiling. IMHO it is a risky throw of the dice to bring in a load of loans to cover a very thin squad. The interview of RK stopped all turmoil instantly as he assured us that the money in would be spent. Overnight the lions were tamed and the Donkeys could graze in peace. (although some might be signed on loan) I do hope Koeman is aware of the complete strategy and is not losing confidence as he is at risk of losing his credibility if the team bombs. Rejoice we have won 5 friendlies (a pleasant surprise) but if the squad stays like it is the atmosphere at SMS will be pretty glum.
  15. Clutching at straws, how clever of RK to get Man U and. Liverpool to want our players so that it would help the master plan. Nothing to do whatever with cashing out some of the investment. KL is not interested in football and just because she drapes a scarf around her head does not change the fact. I would be the same if I inherited a hockey team
  16. Yep it would be good to pick and choose, thankfully Lovren and Wanyama were not loans
  17. Oops Morgan to Liverpool for 17m
  18. First it was waiting for the manager then the WC in the way, I assume the anniversary of the start of WW1 is holding things up. Im sorry but the board are playing so many for fools. Go back and look at posts at the end of the season and a few posters were pointing it out as it is panning out now. Taking in 100m and spending if lucky 30m. I desperately hope those predictions are false but at this moment in time!!!! I do agree that you don't need to spend for spending sake, but replacing solid players at the top of their games for loan players is a massive risk, especially as they can slink back to their parent clubs.
  19. lol and in time the air hostesses join in as well
  20. sounds like. One of Phils golf stories.
  21. sounds like a modern day Ted McDougal that would be fine for me. He did little but score goals, and after all goals is what the game is about
  22. I thought you had to have an academy in the. PL
  23. not bad, some pretty good bits
  24. ireally dont get how we can get excited about players who are untested in the PL. It is a risk, even Forster is bit of a risk although I do believe he is a good keeper on the games I have seen him play
  25. Another point the article makes is that the transfer fees we are being quoted are inflated. So that negative counters the positive of the good business we made. It seems to me that that underpins the argument of being foolish not buying players before you sold. I'm sure a agreement to sell could have quietly been made while we went and got replacements.
