  1. It seems we have to be patient, I would rather we had the signings in, but you do realise that the season will start and we will be told on here that don't panic the window doesn't shut for a few weeks etc etc
  2. It is arrogance of a football fan that we believe that not only would we have rolled over Sunderland in their home patch but gone to Hull and did the same etc etc. I agree we may have created more, who was missing . JRod and Boruc spring to mind not sure if Morgan as well. Following saints I have got used to not great expectations. I would concede that the draw opened up, but you can't guarantee we would have got through. A question, in the draw would our number on the ball been the same as Sunderlands had we won? If not the draw we would have had may have drawn us Arsenal
  3. Bloody hell OSm has come back as. Mr Nasty and sarcastic.
  4. if Lambert had not missed for 2yards and Al not also missed a sitter we may have got our wish. That's football, we should have beaten Sunderland but failed to take our chances and they scored with a superb strike
  5. never stopped me or many others lol
  6. when you have been on here for a long time and you havent posted perhaps people will be concerned enough about you KPT. As we at it, how is OOh Terry Hurlock he also has not posted for a while and a great lad
  7. Kp i always respect your posts but on this occasion we will have to beg to differ....but Iam right;)
  8. but patently our valuation will be eroded as Lovrens position is close ot being untenable. The fans will take a lot to win over let alone the squad with his no train antics. It does not matter what he cost, it is what we could have got for him. Obviously you believe our valuation of him has not been reduced due to his antics, i myself believe our expectations of a fee will be downgraded. We do not hold the aces any longer Our ability to pretend we dont need to sell has been blown out of the water,
  9. but apart from that what has Dubai Phil done for us?
  10. Havent seen him post for a while. Hope he's ok
  11. if Lovren had said he was happy to stay, Liverpool would have to approach and saints could say 'no he's happy, but thank-you. if you want to offer a mega price we might consider' Rather than 'my head is in Liverpool' If you wish not to accept the 2 different situations, and do not believe that our bargaining position has not been affected i will have to accept that. i do hope today i meet some people with the same mindset and will have a good day purchasing.
  12. 2 players going to Liverpool both giving negative comments in the media. You are in the cynical world of football agents and clubs use different means to unsettle or get a player to move. We are talking about big business and their interest in getting the price down. The palyers get their cut by the massive wage hike in moving club, with all that it entails.
  13. supporting Saints for 60 years is bound to make you depressive! I remember when I was 8 and no club would be better, no player would be better than the ones who pulled on our shirt. After see us lose 8-0, 7-0 7-1 and many more disasters I eventually lost my more optimistic notions. i now expect the worst and most of the time am not disappointed
  14. Iam a little surprised you can't see how Lovrens actions are not affecting our clubs ability to get a top price. Imagine you are selling a car and want 20k but as you offer it to the buyer your other half comes out and says, I don't like it and if you don't sell it were getting divorced (ok some would be delighted) but the buyer would then drop the figure he was going to offer. Human nature and bargaining
  15. If a player comes out and tells the world his head is in Liverpool our club has lost any bargaining position. Liverpool will be happY that he is damaged goods with the fans and that our board then will have to accept he will have to go. If he says it privately, it would still be damaging but could be managed. So instead of the club of staying firm in its valuation they are in the hands of the buying club.Hence. Liverpool now saying the ball is the our court.
  16. it's all part of Phils persona. Very generous if you ever meet him. Ok if like myself golf is not of interest then your eyes glaze over when the stories are recounted but if you like golf some will be quite envious of his news. Discount him if you like but the man has a fantastic insight to the Arab mind and world and anybody thinking of doing business over there would be best served if they spoke to him first. Personally the insults are unwarranted but this is the internet and you do get some weirdos
  17. I thought POL had shut down!
  18. behave, nobody would choose QPR ahead of Liverpool , even Flyer the Rangers fan would choose Liverpool unless it was for money
  19. Come on batman, are you just trying to be awkward on this. You dont need to be Sherlock Holmes to put together turned down by Liverpool due to excessive wage demands, HR, and QPR
  20. It is understood that Liverpool have pulled out of the deal to sign Caulker due to his high wage demands, which they saw as extortionate considering he’d just been a part of a defence that was relegated. I suppose the Cardiff fans wont be told he is going for CL football
  21. I dont think he needed that, it is the stupid owner paying out massive wages. Why do successful businessmen fall for HR's chat to get players in?
  22. Is Caulker that good? i did see the hype about him but Cardiff did let in a load of goals, especially when their Chilean defencive midfielder was out
  23. yes it is a problem. Is there somebody out in county cricket like Mike Brearley who may not be test class but a clever tactical brain as well as able to get a team to bond....Ill go and get my cricket bag ready
  24. depends on what age you are but Sidmouth is a hidden gem with lots of pretty villages and places to go. The town is quaint with own family run department store. We go there about 3 times a year and find it relaxing. The Victoria Hotel is fantastic (the clientele is quite old but the last few times we have noticed a lot more 40 somethings) We like the service and some decent prices. If you are looking for nightlife its not for you, but quiet relaxation then i would say definately. http://www.victoriahotel.co.uk/?gclid=CLvTr7Lg2L8CFWETwwoddE4AGw As i say if you are under 40 then its not really the place,
  25. exactly, Lovrens alleged strike, quotes in the media have cost our club millions. Therefore would it not be best for the longterm that our players are shown that the strik option etc will not work. Yes his wages are huge and a big cost but is peanuts to the big picture. if he was put in the reserves or refuses to train (I assume he would not get paid) he would come round again pretty quickly especially as he saw the potential of him going to greater things disappear as he rots away. If the club/board stood up and did that i would believe that really were the real deal and had some balls not just pussies
