When you are in the process of negotiating a contract it is like poker, why to appease the press and us should he lose his negotiating position,the same goes for the club. it is a professional business not the local darts team. Personally i think the club need to show him that they have drive and ambition and money to spend, if not his ambition will take hm somewhere where he can achieve what he wants.

Moutaoukil looked pretty decent on the 1 game i saw him play but the cameras were there and I suppose he upped his game, and I thought Harris was touted as going to be a star!!

accept that MP is a very good manager and is wanted by a lot of clubs, not seeing much talk of Monaco Spurs etc wanting Adkins. You just cant see a decent manager when its in front of your eyes...although Im sure you are delighted with Awford;)

Ive never met him and i have never doubted he is a very nice bloke. We all have weaknesses and character flaws i doubt FF is any different. One thing with FF I think without exception his threads are always very good and do stimulate debate. He is very good for this forum, like a lot of the better posters it is the Marmite thing that gets people responding.

The damned if you do thing has been here for always. I dont think FF is being picked on, only his previous has been pointed out fairly or not is up to each iindividual

Please put up where he is going to run because things are tough? The reason he will be going is that the football world have taken notice of how he turned a club from relegation candidates under the former manager to 8th in the PL, at the same time integrating a lot of young players into the first team. Our former manager when he left was not hunted down by a pack of headhunters but went to Reading and has not done what was expected of him, and sadly i fully expect him to be looking for a new club soon. MP is at a professional crossroads, he could stay and hope to get 7th or look to do worse and finish 10th, we'd be uite happy either way but his stock will be worth less then. he can now move to various clubs increase his earnings considerably and also have a good transfer kitty. Reading between the lines my opinion is that RK is not going to put much money in the pot to improve the squad.

Forren was not a MP signing as far as i can recall. Whilst the picture shows MP welcoming him i think you will find it was already a done deal. To a degree he did have a legacy left behind by Adkins and Pardew, it is how you deal with it of course and MP's legacy will be far more impressive and most notable if we get him and a large chunk of the squad gone as well
