  1. due to lack of players and injuries, do not be under any illusion that RL would have got a cap had it not been for injuries and suspensions. The media were scathing and oblivious to RL over play until he played for England. The general man in the street relates to the RL story and he is very popular but Hodgson is a cautious man and I feel will take the old guard etc. I do hope I'm wrong
  2. i can't see the. US topping all those passengers, there is no way that could be kept secret and would turn it into a massive international incident.
  3. I don't think RL will go but for the first time in years England had a link man when he played. Sadly Hodgson is a cautious manager and will go with the old guard and players from the top 4. That protects him from the media criticism
  4. Bin Laden escaped on a donkey
  5. it's because he is playing a more deeper role
  6. Charity always begins at Fratton park, it ends there as well, they do like to dip into the proceeds of any charity. I suspect they will parade a big cheque around proclaiming how good they are, milk the publicity and then take theor cut....the last lot didnt give any back if i recall correctly
  7. if true it gets pretty intriguing
  8. Not all lefties of course. Iam not dancing but also not being a hypocrite and pretending I'm overly saddened apart from the grief his family are experiencing.
  9. if you lived through the 70s when his influence in government effected lots of people and the nation you may understand. Iam not laughing ,but find it amusing how offended you are especially after the songs and posts about Maggie n here, live by the sword etc etc
  10. what about call of duty, I've killed loads of Japanese and Germans
  11. I have the same emotion as the lefties had when Maggie died
  12. reading the report and Barkers comments it could be HR talking.Blaming everybody but himself
  13. IMO it is ok if they just stay up. Going into the conference would see an uplift in their win ratio and the crowds would turn up. Add to that they would be able to boost about their Championship wins. Let them languish around the bottom of L2 for a couple of seasons and they will soon see their crowds become in the 5k region. 12k last night was pretty good considering there was footy on the Tv. I think their crowds are impressive even though there are cheap tickets etc, the fans get off their bottoms and at least go, fair play to them
  14. The difference between a couple of years ago and getting players to drop their wage demands is that they were very wealth footballers who losing 50-100k is not terminal, the players now losing 10k would be a big thing and so might not walk away quietly
  15. yes we could have won the cup, yes I would have played what is perceived my first fit 11. If we had taken our chances we would have had a replay. Would we have beaten Hull, probably over 2 games. Would we have had the same draw? Im not sure how they do the numbers and whether we would have had the same in the draw as Sunderland and Hull I dont know
  16. Yep he bottled out and played a stifling side, he brought on Tessem instead of Kevin Davies. Also recall the qtr final the following season when we lost at Bolton, a poor performance
  17. the HNW's will have a lot less that's for sure
  18. He probably had his sunglasses in his other hand
  19. superb reply to a fellow poster did it take long for you to come up with that?
  20. So you didn't go , funny that. It was ohh so important that you couldn't be bothered. I don't need to flail when you provide such ripe material. I will leave this thread now as Iam sure everybody is bored of the cat fighting and Sunderland is now a distant memory. We won away yesterday and so I am happy with that, I expect this place will go into meltdown as Sunderland win at Hull and get Sheffield Utd I the semis as for Sour. Mash about the turnout, I have never questioned our away support, they are superb every time
  21. it was the biggest game of the season apparently , so we must have sold our full allocation and more with the ticket touts having a field day.
  22. the biggest game of the season, your words, did you get off your sorry a### and go ? Thought not
  23. It is good to know that when we go away that we have a chance of getting a decent result. Winning away at Liverpool and drawing at Mna u in the same season was a thing of dreams from the 60s onwards. Well done the club, and the superb away support, Iam sadly a stay at home and wait for the result fan these days
  24. QED when some other green behind the ears posts the same rumour, you are not the only one who reads Facebook or listens to pub talk
  25. yeah I just read it on Facebook and so it must be true
