The problem with Southampton is tht we have had more focus on traffic lights and speed cameras instead of focussing on wealth generation that I turn lifts the lifestyle of the lesser off. Portsmouth have focused on bringing in commercial ventures that have made the city more affluent. When I was younger Portsmouth was a doss hole, but now our city has dropped down into their former depths. Until we get a vibrant council who want to push the city forward it will continue a spiral downwards. Whilst the Spinnaker is an expensive bauble, it can be seen from all directions and a memorable feature to visitors, a focus, what has Southampton? 100s of traffic lights

Behave, Pompey are bigger than them -
it's fairly obvious that RL won't start as Hodgson has been saying that he has now a decent set of forwards to choose from. He never has talked up RL ,and only used him in desperation. It will interesting to see if the team spirit is still as good with the old guard back

Considering all the hype re Wilshire, I was surprised when it was stated that he scored his first goal ( a deflection)in the PL for 3 years!!! -

In a fair world I agree but when a footballing nation like Germany have players with Polish and Turkinsh backgrounds , then we have to follow -
probably with Pompeys year accounts

I'm a proud Sotonian, but have lived away from there for over 20years. Now when I visit it is not the city I recall and love. I can see why it is the 4th crappiset city, very sub standard to when I was a youngster

perhaps but that could stop a lot of the present team!

They have been very fortunate that the parachute payments have been extended and increased. To some it would seem that the authorities/powers that be have gone to extreme lengths to help them. The skeletons in the cupboards seem to have escaped to Narnia. I was under the impression that there was going to be a forensic investigation of their books in the past. I assume Lord Lucan and Shergar were in charge of that

What surprises/perplexes me is that Andros Townsend on the back of a few Pl, is put into the England squad ahead of Dyer. He has played well for Swansea for a long period and is bright enough to be given his chance. Same old London bias IMO

There will be a flood of 'never ever missed a game' if you get to Wembley

His ease of texting is such a surprise. I don't know who the HMRC barrister and who the jury was , but they must be the most useless set of people you could gather together...not guilty lol

that was uncalled for.....unless you were joking

i suspect that any scout from Man U will be pointing out the weakness for their wingers to exploit.........not your sphincter weakness!

Watch him celebrate when AL scored, he was ecstatic

I agree, it is totally out of character by Gemmel.

He pulls on a Saints shirt and does what he can. If the manager picks him it is not his fault

Me as well!

there will be a good reason why he wasn't here today......"......perhaps the result

Fox is decent when he is delivering a dead ball, but defensively he is a liability. I dislike it when fans jeer their own players. I'm sure he tires his best. My concern is that Mopo keeps picking him
