If any of you saw his performance away at Exeter in the league cup, you would never ever rate him. Sadly we have a lot of fans who dont see a good keeper when we had one. We had all the nonsense about Smith being better than Niemi, a string of keepers who werre supposedly better than KD , none of them have gone on to do SFA. Davis and Lambert were the main reasons we ever got to the PL, had we had Bart or any of the other clowns we would not have got promotion, they would have cost us many points.

The Ugly was the first decent fans mags I used to buy. The Internet has put an end to the mags, but I will not slag off the UI (not that I look on there)as they are also Saints fans. The only contact I have of them is the Wembley fiasco, where saints fans were IMo ripped off

you think clubs consider everyone? The club may well think about it but might be blinded by the desire to buy someone from a foreign club

Carroll is a decent forward when fit. Lukaku seems to me to be far more mobile and more creative,and a good finisher.

Lukaku is already tested in our league, is young and quite happy to play at a club like WBA. Chelsea may have him in their plans but if Rooney signs will he still get a look in?

I think we all want him to be a top PL footballer, but his level of improvement,especially n the shooting part of his game is disappointing

in the 80's we had a lot of new fans away from the area because the football we played and having stars like Keegan etc. A period of success would undoubtedly get us a larger fan base,especially abroad. I read that fans especially in the Far East do not have the same club loyalty we have here and thnk nothing of changing club support. I assume long term the club are looking for global fans not 'little England' i t is not what I would want but I assume our foreign owners are not focussing just on getting the fans in from Shirley,Millbrook,Bitterne etc.
