  1. it is amazing that a manager can leave a job get 100,000's of pay-off and then jump into another lucrative job. it is double whammy. Forget not, monies out to NA means less money to spend on new players. As for the soul of the club we have sacked a lot of managers under the pressure of fans and never a whisper of doing the right thing then.
  2. Iam waiting for Mr Allen to tweet Barca 4 Pompey 0
  3. I may be wearing rose coloured specs but i dont think id swop our fixtures to any of the others apart from QPr and then Im not sure they will be that easy either. We should scrape through, a couple of wins and 2 draws should be enough. QPR have won 2 in a row and so everyone is bigging them up,but how many more wonder goals do they have in the side?
  4. MP is dealing with Adkins squad, I assume that he will in time build his own.At present Iam watching Coutinho who MP found and looks pretty useful. Hopefully he will keep us up and build an exciting team. As for the inane 'you have to win games' that is not rocket science, but taking off your best 3 players on the day when beating Man U with 25 minutes left is not clever.
  5. Looks lovely stuff, I notice your delivery charges over 10miles at 30p per mile. This of course will limit your customer base dramatically. I assume you will have to target small delis etc to stock them around the areas, as I doubt people will pay 15 quid delivery.
  6. I don't think we would have beaten Man city, we may not have come from a goal down at Wigan. I don't rate NA as a prem manager and his mad subs against Man U and Fulham cost us. There is no evidence either way only personal thoughts.
  7. i find it interesting that you say Yoshidas is not a right back, well he did prevent 2certain goals. In my world a defender who stops goals should play
  8. It is great that so many had faith in NA, I for one feel that we would be about the same or worse off now under NA.
  9. I assume the dummy (that is the rubber one) garroted to the scaffolding is for a bit of hanky panky in the break. Iam sure most Pompey fans cringe when they see such things, I really would hate having such fans at the forefront of our club, they can keep the bestest tag if this is what it means.
  10. Aztec bar and Milky Lunch
  11. I will try to keep to poetry and limmericks Minsk....but he started it....oh no he didnt
  12. I respect your position but do not agree that there was eventually going to be a buyer whatever.
  13. No club you mention have been liquidated and so you Mr brightspark have got that wrong. If the club had been liquidated it would have been thrown out of the league, try and run a 35k stadium from that. The city could not have rented that out to Coventry etc. As for Pompey getting away with it, i suppose it depends on what you think a fair penalty is for cheating, not paying charities, watching your team at Wembley 6 times (?) having a team of international players, winning the FA cup, playing in Europe, fielding top players when in administration, then depriving businesses of their money, and also beating your fiercest rivals. In doing so they also deprived kids from clubs who had not cheated of having their day in the sun and having those lifetime memories. They have had about 18months of real hurt but had 5 years of fun. Until they lose FP or go into the Conference i dont believe they have had the correct punishment. Going down to L2 may be enough for some, but not for me.
  14. not much of a match, as patently CB is of such a superior being a mere mortal like myself will not be able to cope with his withering array of returns, they may fly over our heads and out of the court but he would still think he was winning. If only some of the facts re how close we were to be wound up could have been in the open forum but I respect that it is not possible.
  15. of course you are one of the brightest and well informed people around lol. If the club had been liquidated you think the stadium would still have been there now? A Phoenix club would not have been able to fund a stadium of such grandeur, I assume you believe then that a SOuthampton conference team would have supported a 35k seater stadium, that the owners of said stadium would not have got the very best people to get the stadium developed into housing or a business park. The city council would have to look at the situation and in time it would have happened. Sheffield city council have just shown that when push comes to shove a stadium will be sacrificed
  16. We dont know what is in the contract. It is a wonderful business, get paid 3 years in advance and then walk into another highly paid job to get a double result. If NA is out of work and is getting full salary then he is in no worse a position. He can live a fantastic lifestyle until he gets another job, and then get an even better package on what he got by managing us and improving his stock. I cant recall much hand wringing when Branfoot, nicholl,Gray, Wigley Sturrock left, they would have been in the same position.
  17. well it shows what you know. At that time i had a very reliable source at the club, he has since left.We were goners. Pompey are alive because they have had tens of millions of PP's to keep them alive as well as Bc who has made it his business to stop them going into liquidation, to keep his chances of getting his money back
  18. Looks like the toaster brigade have got it wrong. I would like to believe we would have such luck when the push came to the shove, but we were so so close to go forever. We got away with it by the skin of the teeth
  19. just to clear it up, it was Wilde and co who got the sell on clause taken out when we needed money before they left. At the same time they also did the same with Theos clause
  20. Can anyone recommend someone who does Fire risk assessment for a commercial retail property ? Ta
  21. The valuation looks a bit suspect, you would have thought the Trust had put forward that valuation. It would be interesting if BC put an uppage clause in the contract. Eg if they go on to increase the amount of housing extra is paid per property above that stated.
  22. if only you had thrown in a few golfing stories and it would have been more believable
  23. IMO the Trust dont want the club they want Fratton Park. If the club was paramount to them, they would have let FP go and found somewhere else to play.
  24. I always wondered why the players only do a half day and then go home to lounge about and get bored. I do understand about fatigue etc
