I went last night to. Watch it with my wife.neither of us are interested in F1. I thought it was very watchable , and had forgotten about that particular year. My wife enjoyed it but would not want to go again. The film is not too in depth but the settings and feel take you back to the 70s If you have an inferiority complex about your body don't go and see it as the guy who plays Hunt has one hell of a body. My wife's favourite part of the film. All in all worth watching and the mutual respect of Lauda and Hunt shines through. 2 more different characters you will never find. 4star IMO
  2. i assume they will point at the African cup of nations and how all the players leave to play in that, but the leagues carry on
  3. worth 15m + and he misses that!! Any player worth that should never miss according to SWF http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxPF8X2WNt4
  4. come on Turkish you are just trying to be difficult here. How many times have we moaned about never shooting? The fact was their keeper, the post and a defender stopped 5 good attempts on goal. I think that the ball hitting the post does not count as an shot on target either. If you have no shots on target do you win matches? The more attempts the better your chances of scoring of course
  5. I forgot that fans polls had any relevance to teams fortunes. Cork did well last year, but there were loads of threads about Puncheon and his performances. He became more of a hero when he went off for the toilet, perhaps thats what Wanyama etc need to do, it makes their performances more paletable it seems.
  6. yep and i assume that fans of other teams used Saints tenure in the PL of 27years rather than the relegation one as a yardstick
  7. dont worry some will come on and Sharp would make a difference. The players like Puncheon, Cork and Sharp become world stars when they dont play. When they do and we dont win it is the players who they replaced who should have played. You should know the rules on this forum, the players that the experts on here want to play, always have blinders when they dont play. They dont miss chances, dont misplace passes or dont tackle, they are all not playing as they are keeping the Barcelona players out of the team
  8. I understand being underwhelmed but comparing a defeat at home to Wigan and an away defeat at Norwich is not comparable IMO. Nprwich have been a year longer in the Pl and also spent big this summer.
  9. Roger you seem to be bigging up the manager that didnt play RL. You did countless posts about RL and seem to have forgotten it now.
  10. like the Keegan era? I think your mind is playing tricks
  11. yes as a free kick was not given. It was not a malicious tackle. Obriens was worse but as he was booked nothing more can be done. West Ham didn't have 3of their best players and so they came to stifle.it worked. We are frustrated because we didn't score, had we done so it would have been a different game
  12. Nonsense, the save from Osvaldo and especially Morgan was superb.
  13. He has 1win in 4 this season. I don't know about his Spanish exploits, although I do recall the majority of his team were sold from under him and so his team struggled. I also thought Mourinho recommended him to us, and so I feel he came with some quality. As for NA , he failed 2seasons in a row not to win the title he should have done with the squad at his command.
  14. JRod pulled the ball back for Osvaldo, and also for MS 's overhead kick
  15. i assume it was to improve on AL. JWP delivery of the dead ball nearly got us a chance to score
  16. we drew at home with Swansea when NA was determined to keep to his keeper experiment, yes we lost at home to QPR and only drew with Stoke and WH. I was never on NA bus and am not sure at present with MP, but we have to stick with him and see how things go. IMO he is a more impressive manager that's NA
  17. Lol, Iam realistic to think that we are at best mid table, but the wrist slitting is laughable.as for the assignation of the abilities of our new players is pretty pathetic
  18. i didn't say I don't like puncheon, but I can see he is not a player who we need. He has done his job in the past and moved on. I hope we are moving to a situation where a player like him is never likely to be in our squad. It would good to have the feeling as in the past where I could feel confident about winning games. It will take time to build a squad that is more superior to clubs like WH a and have the players to comfortably win a against negative set ups like Big Sam fielded today
  19. Yep far superior to anything Chelsea, Man U , Man city ,Arsenal etc had to offer lol
  20. He did well getting us up, ai do not believe we would have stayed up if he had stayed as our manager. It was the 3 big home wins against the top sides that made the difference at the end of the season, and I don't think NA was bright enough to get the results. His last result away at Chelsea when we turned around a 2goal deficit was down to him bringing on the best player we had in the squad ,RL, who turned the game. NA doubted RL as a PL player that blindness was his biggest failure
  21. It doesn't matter how many goals you score against those clubs if they score 1more than you, remember Holloway at Blackpool?
  22. We needed a decent ball winning player better than what we had. You have to give the player a few more games yet before saying Wanyama is not. I agree his passing was poor in the first half, but he was an intimidating figure in the second half and improved.we will not be bullied with him in the side
  23. yep the tactical genius he is, taking off RL , Al, and Puncheon when we were beating Man U, especially as they were being torn apart by those 3 on the day. Not only that he didn't learn and did the same again at home to Fulham. NA was out of his depth, time will tell if MP is as well
  24. well let's not ever try and improve, and get better quality players, lets just stick with Punch and Cork and we will rule the world. I'm not sure Cork was an instant success and know that Punch wasn't. Yes Cork seemed to help us get on an even keel but we have to up our quality to try and move up the league to push for higher positions in the future.
