  1. I assume that all will turn on the Guardian as it is having a go at the deceased? Of course not ,as it is against the Tory boy. I have never been in the position or want to have money invested in a tax haven and frown upon those that do. Sir Phillip Green for one. If people make the majority of their money in this country, they should pay their fair taxes into that country.
  2. I read it as you were suggesting that slavery and colonialism was a western/capitalist thing. All systems have their bad points, Iam very happy to be in the Free world, with its faults. It was not a jibe at socialism or religion it is my belief. If you could give me reasons that this is wrong I am happy to listen. If we had followed the Bolsheviks after WWI I doubt the world would have the internet and mobile phone systems etc as the fear or Free thought and word is a danger to those type of societies. There definitely would not be debates like we have now on here,as we would have been brain washed in our formative years, not by our parents but by the authorities.
  3. I didnt realise that the Russian expansion after the 2nd world war was capitalist. Their slavery of those people and the working to death of the 100,ooo's of German prisoners of war could also be construed as slavery.Im sure that slavery that is pretty awful has been going on in all societys for all time.
  4. Socialism is a decent idea, but when it comes to power it never is quite what the masses had hoped for. It much be on par with religion as the biggest murderer/killer of mankind there has been
  5. I was there, right at the front of the Archers with my big brother and mates. Boy I still recall as the crowd swayed forward not being able to breathe until the pressure of the fans relented as they got back into position in the terrace. The more you think about it the more it is surprising how there were not more Hillsborough disasters I. Those days. Recalling the state of the ground I do feel grateful that the barriers coped with the pressure of the crowds pushing forward
  6. They seem to sign more players than Harry's QPR !
  7. To put in names instead of players gives sends out a poor message. The fans seem to enjoyed having a few players who seemed proud to wear our nations shirt. Whilst RL is not the premier forward of the group he seems to me to have the pride and enthusiasm to play well for England As for Joe Hart, he is still by far the best English keeper. The numpty West Ham fanon Talksport was calling for Robert Green to play ffs
  8. Have you heard of dogging? Be afraid, be very afraid
  9. I can't see why so many are getting their knockers in a twist, it is obvious that Milliband has followed his fathers ideals and during his childhood his fathers opinions would be ingrained. It is best that the electorate understand what they are getting , as when/if Ed becomes PM he will then appear from behind his cloak. Our nation has gone through a lot of pain trying to rectify the last administrations waste, it looks that we may not have learnt and need more of it again.
  10. The post match thing would be good. So many times when fans are buzzing or cheesed off Solent etc move to amateur league or rugby. The phone in shows used to be good. Policing it would be tough but it could work especially if you don't have useless presenters, Bearsy would be good, with Rallyboy doing the Pompey insight to finance
  11. not subtle enough for him, I would think it will be the Toysalesman
  12. They've already had Fleetwood Mack, and Multi York with a bit of luck it will be 'gone for a Burton' at the end of the season

Lol, Facebook is so yesterday. No we obviously have the same wonderful footballing brain.if I knew you were so forward thinking I would read your stuff on FB
  14. i wholeheartedly agree with that. Why that came to pass I cannot explain, unless NC knew he was taking us to a tribunal
  15. Your debating skills are probably the best I have come across. Not everybody lapped up all that NA did. I was pleased what he achieved but he still didn't do what he should have with the resources he had at his disposal. NA always will have legend status with fans but he walked away with a fantastic reputation and a massive payoff what more do you want, a statue, the ground named after him?
  16. when I was growing up I used to watch other teams lift the 1st division trophy and thought I would never do so in my lifetime. Whilst it is now the Championship trophy, it has Readings name on it not ours as it should have. NA had every chance to win the both leagues and failed both times, was the pressure too much? He did well, but with the resources compared to Brightons and Readings he was a failure
  17. I think I was one of those, not sure where the 38 came from and on which thread.
  18. every penny extra that went to NA means less to spend on our progress.yes you may think NA deserves a lot but for every NA there is 10 Alan Knill etc who look good but fail to really make it.Imo NA owes us big time and should not have asked for too much.he has been sets up for life, I doubt many other clubs would have let him spend and have the opportunity he had. It was a two way relationship that both won
  19. Perhaps the fans were not smart enough to realise that NA was out of his depth, wheras the chairman had enough foresight to replace him. Not many fans showed much sympathy about Kelvin etc being dropped to be replaced by better players, especially after being big parts in our progress.
  20. This is a skate surely
  21. the OP stated that his details and S/T were confiscated by the police
  22. If the police took your S/T do they keep possession and where is your receipt? It seems like a horrible experience and no fan would feel good. I suspect you feel pretty sick in the stomach today.Especially as everything is closed and you cannot get answers
  23. I watched the Sky match choice and whilst Lovren is superb 2weeks running he was quite lucky not to have given a penalty away in his enthusiasm to win the ball in the box
  24. I've read the whole thread and find it hard to understand why if they were watching on CCTV why you were picked out. Surely the evidence was in the possession of the owner of the flask? Have you had any problems with any stewards etc at the ground before and they have been looking for an excuse. Considering the Pompey fan who urinated on the seats never had his ban upheld your minor infringement should be overlooked
