Iam amazed that people are surprised this has been happening. The Chinese and Russians will be doing the same and after all I doubt our listening posts in Cheltenham are pure. As long as it is being used for the right reasons then fine, if only it had listened in to Rosie the dogs telephone it would have been good. There was a Hollywood film some time ago that basically told us this was happening.

its just a damage limitation piece. His initial comment was poor and now he is trying to do a patch repair.

perhaps this thread should be in the lounge,so that more people read it and send their respects

that is sad, so young. i remember her training as she would run around the sports centre
-
I like that one as Pompey are underwater

Just because these players failed at other clubs does not mean they could have fitted in well with us and improved. Some players fit in better at some places better than others, and players can click in certain teams but not others. Having said that there is some rubbish listed

Is Pearce the visionary we really want bringing the game forward? He is not to my mind somebody who is an advocate of silky progressive football, but more like aggression and hoof. We really need to start right from the bottom and put into these jobs people who have studied the top European youth systems. Pearce is the dinosaur of clenched fists and big talk about passion, we need intelligence , sped of mind , not just big blokes who can command in the air

Last year our best talent was a dog this year some people from Eastern Europe, can't wait to see what next year will bring.

Just watching the summaries of the Italy match and the presenter having trouble keeping his composure after Hoddle said 'the manager yanked him off' lol
-
lol, but this idea was debated at the time

I seem to recall in the late 60's early 70's that there was talk of merging Saints and Pompey and setting up as Solent City. I was only about 9 and so can't recall the situation exactly. I can't see that it would have worked. But obviously some thought it would have worked
-
but I am correct on both counts lol

why is the help to buy scheme counter productive? Surely we need people to start buying houses again, to help move the economy on.

sharing training facilities will no doubt help them financially, I did not say he was funding them per say. He was also having a pop at the new set up at Saints, as a loyal person to the club of my choice I will stand up and defend it.Bransgrove came across as a 'woman scorned' and either through ignorance or batting for the wrong side. I suspect he would not honour or fawn anyone ex-player who had gone against him in the press or financially. You are just an angry individual who's smitten on being bitter. In all the years of your posts i have never seen a post with any humour or even civility, im happy being me however wrong i maybe at times, you can keep carrying your flag of bitterness.

hey Phil I'm glad it went well, I did think of you while I had the other gig on Why did you have the cake in the shape of the spinnaker tower?
-
I'm sure that would be truer, it is always annoying when you go to events and see people from the business world who don't know anything about the game but they are in the prime areas. Iam with NC ,you pay your way or do 1. Why should others subsidise the hangers on?
-
I was going to take 6 people to a 20-20 game, I don't think I want to help him fund the Skates thanks very much. I will take them to Somerset instead
-
Sounds like a woman scorned to me.

It was not aimed at you Turks, but does clarify for those who are not in the same predicament.
-
i suggest it may well be Fernandes who will be ruined. Do these people not see through HR? It always irks when he says only football people should make the decisions
-
Good to see a good cause sorted. I do wonder though how many times people try and pull the wool over the clubs eyes and so they have to make rules to counter it. Im sure Turkish does not go down that route but over the years i have seen many people in society try and use disability badges etc to get preferential treatment and abuse the real meaning of these badges. If the disabled person is unable to go are the ticket able to be used by 3rd parties?

funny how so many were up in arms that we were the joke of football and no longer a family club. We get an award for being so and that is not any good either, lol. I think we should get some Millwall fans in, that would show them.

this takes me back to the days of Ho's mate at the club and 11k s/t's being sold

calls not being returned, perhaps they have worked for him before

When I was younger I always wanted to Saints players to be in the England team, after the way they were treated I don't have that wish anymore. Their heads get turned, they get tapped up or were the scapegoat if things go wrong for the team. MLT was never the same player after the England Italy World Cup qualifier. He was ridiculed in the press, and made the scapegoat by the media. Hoddle did not defend him and was blamed for the team leaked before the game, when it turned out to be Mcmanaman. Shearer did SFA on the night but Matty took the flak, none of the team came out and stood up, but just slinked away. Watching players like Shaw in the same dressing room as the big time Charlie's is not the surroundings I believe I believe we need our young players. Beattie, Armstrong and Matty all fell foul to the international set-up
