it also has something to do with beach football. hopefully that is where they will be playing when justice is done

Lennon has obviously done things to really rile people. WGS never had the problem and all the others before that. Lennon has inflamed the situation himself and I can only assume things went on when he lived in Ireland

is this what they have beaten us to? http://www.fifa.com/aboutfifa/developing/futsal/index.html

i agree I thought they left a caveat todo so, but as the old club has been wound up where can they go?
-
Hammy that is older than you are. lol

i have no faith in the legal system regarding football after the way Pompey have got away with it. HR will do the same and still the media's darling will be England manager.
-
the defeats have never worried me, they didn't hurt like I thought they would. The FA cup one was unfortunate as it meant them going on to the cup final and giving them much needed income
-
depressing reading that, and points to the fact you now expect Pompey to be saved by them. A cat only gets nine lives , that lot!!!!

my understanding was that players like Gobern were not old enough to go on the trip and so Ox would also not go

it cant be said now that SMS does not create a great atmosphere

i sit in the Northam and recognise that that part of the ground generates a lot of noise but when I have been in the Itchen it is not heard as the away fans drown it out. Notice how a lot of clubs put the away fans on the side of the ground so that the support is nullified. If we could move the away support to blocks 2-3 some would still be able to be next to the away support , if that is so necessary but we would have a whole end of fans singing the team to victory. I just dont get the need to be next to the away fans, especially if they are able then to outsing the home fans. -

I agree but therev has been a train of thought since SMS has been opened that it does not produce the atmosphere the Dell did. I do not agree. -
LB injury was a blessing in disguise as we looked a better team with DC in the side. I expect neither will be first choice next season.

In all the years of going to watch Saints there are only a handful of really standout atmospheres. Saturday was one of the best. The Dell had its own unique feel but i have now experienced 3 or 4 at SMS to match the good old Dell. Norwich relegation season, twice against the Skates and now Saturday's game. The myth is buried that SMS is soulless IMO. Also lets now move the away fans to block 2+3 and have the whole of the northam as a home end. -
he also a few months ago was going on about foreign managers and players, then forgot he had one himself and a team full of foreign players

were the debts at these other clubs over 100m and racking up more until the revenue said enough was enough? When the media came out and stated they were in massive debt, they came out and rubbished the reports and carried on. I firmly believe that they would have gone on and on taking money from suppliers still had the revenue not pulled the plug.
-
it was not directed at the builder, but some people will have learn t that by going into administration you can come out of admin with the debts wiped. I have been enlightened during this saga how it is so easy to have a pre-pack deal that seems a licence to lose your debt but not hurting your own position. It is with dismay that I have watched and no doubt many throughout the region may have read and perhaps thought 'sod it, let's do what they have got away with'
-
Was he not on the committee regarding agreeing the CVA? At the time i recall him being interviewed and was very upbeat. To me he was instrumental in getting the support to agree it, totally against what the Revenue wished for.
-
I have no sympathy for him. he was backed the CVA and had a big say in it. Some peole may have learned how to rid yourself of debts by going into admin and then coming out clean the other side

Great post Daren, I hate the arrogance a few of our fans have. The fans and clubs we have had the HONOUR to play are followed by proper football fans who are loyal to their team. Ok they may play at rubbish grounds with poor standards of players and half empty grounds, but they are passionate about their team and dont support the glamour clubs. I'm sure if we ever get back to the PL we would hate the top 4 to patronise us in the same way. I have enjoyed L1, we as a fanbase have seen success, a lot more victories and now have a more positive attitude when things are going against us. Lets see what the next season brings.

anyone hear the rendition of OWTS on PL darts in Bournemouth last night.? My daughter was there with her sign to the cameras 'Saints are going up'

I believe that the greens will have a lot to gain from AV. I dont think i could cope with a load of tree huggers running the country.

The "Big" News - free "All Star" match on Sunday: K.O 3pm
OldNick replied to benjii's topic in The Saints
it does seem odd that we will cheer the players who helped us get relegated from the PL with a pathetic points total. One of the lowest ever in PL history, I still am amazed that team were unable to get more points in that league -
was is it just me that thought Bin Ladens compound was a bit like Fratton park but with less barbed wire
