  1. I cant recall which disaster it was but some people who survived one disaster had a crash landing the day later!!! You are not immune, I had a engine fore on a 747 and emergency landing, had 2 aborted landings since, since here though |lol
  2. I was at Wembley arena the other night, if they tried an attack similar to what happened in Russia some years ago it would be carnage. 12 000 trapped in a building as hostages or worse. The armed response teams would not get there in time before real tragedy occurred. We have a society where there are so many soft targets, one day we will wake up and on the news a act of terrorism that is beyond belief will have happened. There is no country to retaliate against, only a religion and you have no chance in that.
  3. Personally it would be a shame if Baj and Granty decided to call it a day for this site. The interest will grow again once we start our progress back up the leagues and the debates as volitile as before. Bring back Burley then you would see
  4. Arizona, do you know where you stand on this ? Lol
  5. I assume this will go onto the Golden posts section. Lol
  6. I always thought the Welfare state was to defend the poor and the really deserving. To have a national debate when it is patently wrong that people earning a good wage is nonsense. The system has become overblown and the myriad of different benefits is mindblowing. The only people who should get benefit are the poor and the people unable to fend for themselves, period.
  7. selling tickets for a game 4 months ahead would make you wonder that they indeed need an influx of funds quickly. Why else would you sell tickets so far ahead? They even have missed the trick of saying that you have to buy the 2 home games beforehand as well, a scheme used by us for the Pompey /Man u games. Phil has alluded to shortages down there and perhaps the rent man cometh. Hey Ossie where will the match be played when the gates are locked
  8. Come on we dont play until saturday, so the players not having a drink is a tad extreme. i agree if they are out of their heads it is not good. As for bottling glassing, are they glass or plastic? If LB has bottled /glassed someone then I can't defend him
  9. I agree i never also thought he was outjumping the oppo defenders, but he has the knack of being at the right place at the right time and also a decent finisher. Top player for this league
  10. What a poor idea. RL was very good saturday, not to his best but he linked very well with the whole team. I suppose you'd have dropped MLT , Ron Davies Mick Channon etc when they had a loss of form. Did you notice how Bournemouth's game lifted as soon as Al left the game? These people inspire their teammates and frighten the opposition.
  11. Bournemouths directors were very well looked after by NC and the club, Im very pleased to report
  12. you really are desperate to try and have an argument. Look sonny you have been beaten by 2 goals to nil twice this season. You can go on and on and on about ref's decisions but if you like lets call it 2-1 and you got your penalty. Forget how Puncheon was thru on goal and the ref called it back and had he scored you would have collapsed as we were all over you. Your manager unbelievably took off your best midfielder Lol. Smith should have been sent off for his first tackle (it was a cowerds tackle, it was in front off me and you could see he only had one intent.I will say that Chaplows was not good either) Ps I really am in the know at your club as one of your top men is a long time friend, they were treated very respectfully by NC and were happy.
  13. from what I saw of him he was a decent player who has a wining mentality. He played for their biggest rivals and so perhaps it was the Fuller effect, a very good player who was never given a fair chance by the fanbase to settle in.
  14. with a certain affinity to our lesser neighbours it was always going to get a better gate. I know about our arrogance but this is the first time in 40 years i have gone to watch B'mouth and they are above us in a league. Therefore in those 40+years it is human natue to look down on them. Im sure if they played Weymouth their fans would look down on them in the same way.I can't take them seriously and when a friend tried to wind it up last night I said, you may win, but i know that in 5 years time we will be in a better position than you again and when the manager is gone they will plummet back down again. They are so desperate for us to become real rivals, and im sure we will get lots of posturing today. i hope we can rise above it
  15. Nature will find a way of bringing the worlds population down. Anti biotics are near to the end of their worth, a friend worked in the pharmaceutical industry and they are pretty concerned that a virus could really take a massive toll
  16. why? i think it is a very fair assumption. I have been to games and some fans confused Mills for BWP. Do you not recall the amount of times people in the directors box were supposdly David Dein etc and it turned out it was joe Bolggs. The fans on here who in the main are politicised or very up on things saints would kno who he was but most dont give 2 hoots
  17. sounds very plausible
  18. I really do thin kit was unfortunate timing and not against Cortese, the fans were in party mood and a Mexican wave was stopped and it happened when it got to NC. I suspect there may have been some who booed but you get all sorts in life. It doesn't matter anyway as peoples minds are set.
  19. If you asked fans to point out who Cortese was most would not be able to do so.
  20. PES you have had a real personality change, time for you to jog off until you get your old self back. Go and support your charity and kid robbers Our natural rivals, who are yours Waterlooville then, i dont see you smashing up your own town after you lose to them Lol Bournemouth are in a different county, and have never before been in living memory close to be better than us. The same could not be said about your club re-garding Bournemouth
  21. All fair but we dont know what ML will has stated. All fantasy and missing the point no doubt but the club is not as it was 12 months ago and there must be reasons for that
  22. well IMO I think it is. Most of the fans didn't know the songs let alone who the chairman is FFS
  23. hey whats the witch hunt on Steve about all of a sudden. We all make assumptions and claims but dont get this stuff
  24. Im sure you are right but you've lost me
  25. The model was always going to be one of living off your own means. hence every penny is being screwed from wherever it can be. ML set the club debt free, and gave it a small injection of funds to get it running ( I assume, no facts to back that up)from then on there was a rush to get us up the leagues. AP's failure to do so first season would have been a major disappointment IMo but the revenue flowed in. The untimely death of ML has really thrown a spanner in the works, and our comfort blanket has been removed. Even if the family do have an interest ,almost certainly probate has put a stop to any new funds and to be fair their eyes will be on funding their core businesses not ML plaything. NC is being unfairly targeted by restless and IMO thoughtless fans who cannot understand why we are not splashing the cash. I am not above criticism in that, as I call for new front men etc. If the Liebherr family indeed are not fussed about us, I suggest NC would be the first person they will offer us to, you never know that may have been ML's dying wish.
