3m with add ons would have done nicely. I dont believe Ox is equipped to change enough games for us to have the luxury of him.I know the majority will agree with me but that is how i see it without my rose coloured specs on. Antonio did have the know how and strength to do so.

all the anti KD posters on here answer this question, if KD had not saved the 1 on 1 before we scored do you believe we would have got a point? As in the game against Exeter a midfield run let them through on goal, i suppose that is Davis fault. Some on here have said get Lee from Brentford, did you see him flapping away last night? Richard Wright doesnt make the first team and has been loaned out by Ipswich, he has made some real awful errors, but he is a super hero on here. He played well when he was with us, but he has been found wanting. Anti Niemi was probably our best keeper for a couple of decades and he rarely came off his line Shilts also (the ball has changed since those days) I remeber my childhood hero Pat jennings come out and take the ball one handed, but the ball was different and didnt move like it does now. There is no way the second goal was down to KD.

personally I would have sold Ox got good add ons and then bought Antonio from Reading. We know he can make a difference in games.

I blame Adkins, he kept LB on far too long, aand should have brought N'Guessan on to give us some zip. He put everyone back for the last few minutes and so we couldnt get out of defence
-
The first goal was down to Seaborne, but KD should have done better. If you notice the ball doesnt bounce as it normally would . We should have been losing if it was not for KD's great save early on, do you think we would have got anything from the game had we gone 1 down? To blame him for the 2nd Lol

IMO it is high risk. You demoralize KD who IMo has done little wrong and IF Bart does have a mare then you have lost out. I like Bart but I still recall his performance at Exeter a couple of seasons back and only those who saw it would be able to understand my concerns.

on my version I can see them jumping on

Is that a fake? ive looked it up on the BBC and nothing about it

The refusal to sell a season ticket at Southampton FC
OldNick replied to lenwilkins's topic in The Saints
Being a saints fan I have not been to the new wembley before. my experience of going to big events s that you don't get room to move and not get to the bar. It also was going to give the opporunity to take 2 youngsters who had not been able to get a ticket so they could enjoy the experience and join in. We were going to leave them at this bar in comfort to watch the final on TV and like at the cup final in Cardiff join with the many fans who travelled without tickets to enjoy the occasion. Apart from the 2 hookers who fell out of the club and NI having to clear up broken glass and beer off the floor before he could let fans in, we were greeted by the dirtiest seediest club I have encountered. It was a shambles including people outside selling more tickets for this place when it was said to be a limited number. I could forgive NI more if he had said he was duped and had not seen the place, but it turned out he had been there before a cup final. You may be the cleverest person on here and know that there is easy pubs to go to where you can take young fans, i didn't and thought this was a brilliant idea. I was duped by a fellow fan. We left and had to find 2 spare tickets off of touts....they werent touts but other fellow saints fans who wanted £50 profits on the tickets. So the cost born were even higher, please forgive me if I have no sympathy for him -
The beginning of the end for the Premier League cash cow?
OldNick replied to trousers's topic in The Lounge
i would change at a drop of a hat, the only thing is that Sky then might not serve the quality in future as they have less revenue. -
you forget i have seen you play in goal in the forum match.......I don't think the DVD shows a faultless display, although i will admit you did make a difference, and I do recall when you charged out of goal and nearly was beheaded by Griffo's high boot, you used your head on that occasion. If you really analyis that particular goal there are many players at fault. The midfield for not closing the passer down and also 1 of them following the run, Davis for not getting to the ball first, I will not point the finger at the defenders.

Missed the ball by 4ft, you are having a laugh. One minute you say he should be sweeping up the next he should be staying on the 6 yard line!!!! seems that you are as indecisive as KD is supposed to be

The refusal to sell a season ticket at Southampton FC
OldNick replied to lenwilkins's topic in The Saints
there were 6 of us who were treated badly by Nicks organisation and never was a refund offered. I know NI has been going for most of his life and a die hard but he did things that cost the club revenue. He also misled the fans on the Wembley event (he was part of the organisation not solely him of course, to allow a Pompey fan rip us off was even more galling). He is not banned but the privilege of a S/T has been withdrawn, there is of course a difference. -
i still have nopt seen the Exeter goal on tv but it seems that many who have say that it was not a mistake. Blame the midfielder for not tracking the midfield runner, so why not blame MS instead of the keeper who tried to make up for that error. Had you been behind the goal on tuesday and seen the Exeter player line up the shot and see it going through some players destined for the net, only for KD to somehow get to it, you may grudgingly accept he helped change the course of the result. I am not anti Bart as he is a friend of one of my family, but I dont wish to risk changing a keeper who has so many times saved us points. Iam concerned how many times the opposition seem to get one on ones on us, when it seems a rarity for us to do so.

not as much as us as we were hoping Fonte would get there
-
Its always spooky when you see a fellow contributor on here is standing close to you and you dont realise. Were you one of the ones shouting at him? or part of the few who starting singing for Bart only for KD to then make that make turning save\
-
you must have been stood just behind the goal. A few saints were having a go at the poor sod who was only doing what the p#### Exeter head steward told him to do. i do agree he could have crouched but i dont think he was able

KD save stopped us going 2 down. Until I have seen the Exeter goal I will reserve judgement if it was a mistake

Lol typing on the Blackberry but that did make me chuckle

Ok but he looked more energetic than most of the others. Ox looked more jaded IMO

Got back to hotel after game. We were poor throughout. KD made early save to stop us going 1 down. Guessen then sent through 1 on 1 but hit the bar, Barnard missed the open goal from the rebound. The linesmans flag saved his blushes. Exeters midfield controlled and they looked the most likely to score, and did so with a ball over the top. Kd rushed out and it seemed to me the Exeter player just got to the ball before him and it bounced in with Fonte trying to get to it. The players were cakling for offsid e. Second half and very little improved. The game changing event happened when Kd made a blinding save from a shot that went through a bunch of players and I was expecting to see their fans celebrating but Kd had pushed the ball for a corner. Exeter were on top and yet again Kd was cakked upon as he pushed another shot for a corner. It looked as though we were going to lose but a Nguessen cross was met by RL and it was 1all. NA immediately took Nguessen off ! (Ox was anonymous and he should have been the player off IMO) The game looked to be heading a draw until RL popped up again. Frankly we didn't look good enough and making the top 2 looks beyond us

You have enjoyed living off the fruits of robbing charities and the nations taxpayers, may your club die a painful but quick death. I have lots of sympathy for some of your decent fans but the rest!!

Lol at Derrys post. Go back and read match reports a see how many crucial saves KD has made. FWIW I thought Bart did OK and will not criticise if he keeps his place. Derrys attack is very poor and strikes me as though there is a personal issue nothing to do with his performances

what construes a legend? I do wonder if to be one you must not be able to pass, head, or shoot , but run around and stay at the club as nobody wants to buy you. FB is clearly a fantastic fella and is a saints fan but why turn the knife on national TV when we need positives. It is about time one of Matts friends pulled him aside and had a quiet word......unless there really are dark forces out trying to disrupt the club again
