  1. it must be important as Ho would normally be able to spill the beans.A big issue must be about to hit the headlines
  2. If we lose to BR i suspect AP will be in real trouble. I believe NC is looking for an excuse to act and 1 point after 3 and out of a cup could be just that. Iam frustrated that we have not strengthened as much as I had hoped and still believe we are weaker than we were at the end of last season. I also will add that i had voiced my concerns that the fans expectations could be the worst monkey on our backs this season. Getting rid of a manager is not always the best way to get results long term and am a bit tired of the merry go round, but we do need someone to grab the nettle and get us up. Eddie Howe will be a top manager and I would think he would do well in the constraints of L1. he certainly is a good judge at plucking an unknown
  3. what about Liverpool or Everton? i doubt their fans are on their managers back, although im sure there are some. I am not 100% sure of AP but im not going to make an opinion losing by 1 goal in a non win competition against a team 2 divisions above us, who have a very good manager
  4. that's the trouble with figures, nobody ever agrees with them. If the measures mean that some of the people on benefit go and get jobs surely that is a good thing? I suspect we all know of people who have packed in jobs or turned them down as they are better off on benefits. I always mantain that the people who really deserve benefits should get them, in that I mean the helpless and frail. The youngsters i see kicking around, smoking their fags and brinking while the rest are at work, are more than able to get themselves to the shops and so should be able to go and work. Unless you make it difficult for them they will take and take, and they will be on our backs forever. I would think any socialist would believe in every fit person making their own way in life and Yvette Cooper should back it
  5. but we are not Chelski or man city in terms of finance as the owners are not prepared to splash at all costs and the club has to be on its own sound finances. Yes we spent last year, but that was because we had no rent or overdraft to pay. That money was spent on the team.
  6. yep but you come out of that sooner or later and then it can be quite a shock. I wanted to do a 5 yr fixed but couldn't get what i wanted with the lender. Settled for 2year.
  7. Alps somebody who didn't know your previous would think you had an agenda and have been waiting for an excuse to have a go at AP
  8. yeah but 2 league games Alps!!!!!!
  9. The article is a bit of a doomsday scenario. I can see the interest rates going up to 5% in 2 years time but i can't see the economy surviving hikes as high as 8% in 24months or so. It would cause a meltdown in the business and housing market.None of us can afford that Dune. The economy is on a knife edge and only low rates are keeping many businesses going. If the rates rise too quickly then it will be carnage and your investments will hit a wall as well. A steady and cautious approach is needed and the printing of money has stopped now (a massive gamble by brown that i was against) and i hope that the BoE can steer us through, especially as I'm about to get a large mortgage for the first time in 20years!!
  10. i did nt go but was al ittle concerned seeing Fonte limping as they walked off. Davies seemed to push our centre back for their goal and Coleman on Sky said the same. IMO we went out fighting and lost by a single goal to a PL side. perfect as we dont need distractions of this cup. JPT and the L1 is all i want us to fight for
  11. TT we lost to a PL team, we are a long way from being one. A few more games yet before to hit the panic button. Again, we need pace on the wings and the ability to change the game from the bench Aka last season. We dont have the variety we had in the last part of the previous campaign.I hope that is sorted soon
  12. the cameraman didn't get a picture of you all night and so I suspect that Granty thought it was a waste to send it to you
  13. Just because you were trying to gain an unfair advantage, (nothing new to Phil's side) and i was pointing it out to the ref. I had little to moan about by the way, as my team were tearing you to pieces
  14. seems like Pompey and him are matched
  15. Perhaps his father is looking into how to do it 'the Pompey way'
  16. true. I bet AA likes clocking up the hours researching the client Lol
  17. I wouldn't laugh too much yet. To table the bid and get them to a meeting would have cost him quite a bit of money. Whether he is interested in turning the football club around is something different, building on the site of the ground..... 401 conditions, and AA saying about a debacle is interesting. Not a way of endearing himself to a buyer
  18. 1 place behind Pomey if they are still in business
  19. there was some good stuff in the kick in before the game
  20. probably lol
  21. I sent a PM to granty with mine. i suggest you do it straight away so he can send it.
  22. biggest cheer of the night it seems. All your fault as well Lol
  23. fantastic, last time I saw a video clip of a player like that was when we signed a player from South America.....ohhhhhhh
  24. more importantly where were the 30k giving their respects to ML at his memorial service, that actually was all about him?
