  1. My daughters friend has ties to Torquay and if you need autographs i may be able to get them for you.It all depends if my daughter can be ar### to ask though!! lol. In fact she is staying with us for a couple of nights and so if you want me to ask, get to me today.
  2. Its all Blairs fault, he turned catholic and so the floodgates have opened, just you wait and see the Pope ask for asylum. We will be over run with them before long.Lol I read with interest the Catholic churches views on homosexuality, if only their priests acted as they preached. Filthy despicable people taking advantage of young helpless kids
  3. [quote=AussieDog;849970.....I totally agree with you about times like these reminding us as to why some of us became Saints fans. I became a saints fan because i was born in southampton and my elder brother took me along to watch them. It never crossed my mind 'is it a family club', does LM think it is good or bad or even 'are they any good ?' you don't as a 9 or 10 year old.
  4. how is the injury, we missed your cameo performance at the forum game, phil didnt have a false sub to come on to change the game this season'Lol
  5. first time I have seen the goal and it was a blatant push on Fonte. That's the way it goes sometimes.
  6. I thought it was only the lenders who took a hit. Once the club was bought out then we spent money with new owners. Pompey still are not out of admin and still seem to not changed their spots
  7. hey Phil,it seems that I may have been right that compo was certainly a mouthwatering concept for them, lol
  8. the bad start may turn out to be a blessing in disguise, it has lowered our expectations. if we had been top of the league the pressure from the fans would be pretty intense at present we would take a playoff position. The last third of the season is when we really need to do the business and lets hope the poor start ids then forgotten.
  9. Howe went for an interview, the rest of the 'facts' are left to different sides interpretation. If Howe had been offered the job and been first choice, hand on heart do you accept he would have accepted it then? It is apparent he was second choice and he knew that and so came away licking his wounds. He (and Mitchell) then had to firefight, what a great way to appease your fans by saying he turned the job down. Perhaps the finances are not so good down at B'mouth again, perhaps the club needed some compensation
  10. I was critical of NA going back to say goodbye and not starting the job right away, still am. Last night Villa played and Houliier had not turned up as he was going to a managers award ceremony FFS. Talk about not getting your priorities right. He could easily sent someone on his behalf like others do.
  11. My thoughts are with you Daren.
  12. Can the creditors do nothing about this? Surely it is breaking of a contract
  13. Ok I didn't get that you meant NA was a keeper. I still think it is laughable that people say KD is a shotstopper, what the hell is a keeper supposed to be?? We are a third tier football team and have a 2nd tier goalkeeper. Find a good shotstopper, distributor, good on crosses , commands an area and you won't find one in world football. You will find many who can do most things but you wont tick all the boxes. there is not a keeper who hass never made errors and it is a shame that we can't see how good a keeper we have in this league. Personally i think we should be looking for another keeper as time will take its toll and KD should not be our first choice next season. Bart IMo is not the answer but Id be happy for him to have his chance but form the time i met him and other friends have he is too insular and shy to make it to the top, i do hope Im wrong though
  14. well if he was so happy why go for an interview???? Surely he would have said thanks but no thanks and not bothered to even travel. Lots of self interest and covering by all sides i suspect
  15. they shouldn't have been in any of the major football leagues. They are above us remember and closer to returning to the PL than we are
  16. Poor finishing and lack of pace is why we have had a poor start. I can't prove we would have done better with those 2 in the side but I suggest we did look a lot better with them at our disposal. The games we have lost have been down to weak finishing, teams playing all the men behind the ball and us giving away soft goals. The overall performances have not been that bad.
  17. the overall fee from UHY will be massive compared to the 86k mentioned already. I can't remember the figure but I recall Bournemouth's admin cost in excess of 200k
  18. We all wish for more width but that is not the major problem as we were winning plenty under AP with his game. the difference now is the pace of Antoinio and theunpredictablilty of Waigo is missed. I laugh at the constant dig at KD, you will in time be able to say you are right when a KD makes a gaff (all keepers are prone to it) but go back and look at the match reports over the last 3 seasons and you will see time and again 'fantastic stop by Kelvin' etc etc. Adding that you were a keeper means nothing, you may be brilliant at it or utter sh## doesn't mean you know the whole game, and if you believe that to be the case, i was a midfielder and attacker and so my thoughts on that override yours.I doubt you would agree in that case though. Paverotti was a wonderful singer, i didn't need to sing at the Albert hall to realise that.
  19. Of course I understand win %'s and how they can be skewed but 42% is still average if you factor in Scunny's low budget etc. He has done very well at a small club, but that tells us nothing about his capabilities at a larger club. My feelings are that it would have been the same gamble taking Howe on who has IMo achieved as much with far more constraints, and is younger and perhaps more steely to give the so called stars a kick. From the bit i know of Howe he is not to be messed with and is very determined to make it big.
  20. that is very good
  21. Egg you're fried
  22. Yes we must get out of this league quickly so that any financial advantage we MAY have can be used before the big parachute payments from the PL really kick in and there is no way to compete. I no doubt will back NA to the hilt, but my love of football generally is waning. Long gone is the enthusiasm of turning up to watch my beloved Saints
  23. I wish you luck. Are you getting a ticket at the Emirates now?
  24. The administrator may well also charge a commission on sales. i know that was the case when a colleague in my trade had an administrator working on his business. Stock that was sent to auction not only attracted the auction fees but also a percentage going to the administrator. Would that happen on any transfers? Perhaps Clapham or bucks saint can tell us.
