  1. Viking I dont have any pro Pompey thoughts, I have just looked at it from where iam and felt how it was turning out. I think saying I have a smug told you so attitude, is very unfair. I have not come on and said 'I told you so' . Iam still hoping that Clapham etc who are very clued up will prevail. This mornings news that Cotterill has been appointed may well underline my thoughts that Chanrai will indeed go for promotion and already favours are being pulled in from HR.
  2. Had Theo left when GB arrived? I can't remember, must be the booze
  3. Stu I was surprised that the club did not send out renewal forms and feel sorry for fans who dont have access to a computer/or unable to use one. Every ticket unsold due t this means it is a false economy. I get the impression that the club speak as one voice...................and 1 voice only, i dont think anybody else dares speak up against it. IMO RL was never as singleminded as NC and only in time will we see if that is good or bad. Iam still for the club and he route it is taking, there will be casualties on the way but the big picture is all important
  4. the trouble is Frank Spencer seems to have been given the job to fix it
  5. Tommi, we do have some top insolvency experts on here, but they must be as confused as many others how this has panned out. Im certain any other business would be dogmeat by now. I respect the others views but have felt all along that there are dark forces at play. I look forward to being proved wrong, as that means Pomey will have indeed paid for their transgressions and the memories they have enjoyed.
  6. If the new manager is not unveiled today after all ,perhaps the wheels have been put into motion.
  7. People are we forgetting that there was D&G between the 2 managers. Each pre season the heart was ripped out of the team. If we lost Lambert Fonte and Morgan now , how do you think AP would be able to cope for the new season? Jones left on the eve of the new season and luckily (most on here didnt rate the player at the time) GB got SJ in who scored 20+ goals. i think you will find GB also made a profit on his purchases, Andrew Davies, turning a forgotten defender into a PL player, and risking plaing a 17 year old kid who also did the same. He may not be our best manager ever but he wasnt as bad as some make out.
  8. I said the same a while ago.Terry the builder (a pompey fan) was owed something like 50k. That included his profit for the work (not sure of the vat). Therefore the cost to him personally was low ,especially after he can put it against his tax. He was never going to bring the club down, but perhaps use the story to get more business due to his hard luck story ,without hurting his club
  9. I agree that not sending renewals through the post is a cost saving that could back fire. NC is a very clever businessman and must have good reason for not doing so. I suspect there might be a sudden rush of forms going out if the take up is low. Perhaps its all part of the plan to move the Northam. Knowing those S/t holders are most likely to be more militant and of the 'Im not renewing because....' mindset. The takeup will be lower and so easier to move those that are there. I myself would be happy to do so if it means a proper Kop end.
  10. I agree that the HMRC will have to make an appeal especially after their statement alludes to a fix. Perhaps Phils (I think it was him) position was that Chanrai and co want the club to fold, and by it going back to court they could get their way
  11. I'm left handed. The outcome you seem to be alluding to, does seem to be losing its excitement. I've a feeling that the excitement has gone as the font doors slammed and somebody has come home early
  12. I agree that it is surprising that the HMRC were the only ones to vote against it, but remember those said agents dealt with them in the first place. I doubt they wish for the truth to be aired either. Taking a dive for 'the team' I suggest. Forget not, there is a lot of future business with Pompey /HR and co in the future to make it up
  13. I will not rise to the bait Mr Warrior. Iam not a Pompey fan, but just been realistic in my assessments. Frustrated all the same by their flagrant cheating and abuse of decent people.
  14. Lol, well I cant keep my happy demeanor too long, now can I
  15. I think it is a case of whether the HMRC can show that he moved the figures to suit. Looking back at the time when it was in court the HMRC said they were owed 11m, it seems their figure jumped as dramatically as Pompeys debt. The moment the lady judge gavve them 7 days that quickly turned into 2 weeks the whole balance changed
  16. He got us very close to PL return, not helped by the politics going on. As for tactics, dont all managers use odd tactics?
  17. Knowing Pompeys luck, the courier from the HMRC will take the papers to Dean Court and not the High court
  18. I think after reading the hmrc response they will contest it. I am not an expert, and dont pretend to be, although in my field of business i would feel Iam
  19. 'We will now carefully consider our position following the chairman's decision to reduce the amount of our claim for voting purposes." Now that is a very interesting and uplifting response. The wording very telling what they think of AA's actions. I suggest that it may well be contested
  20. So the blueprint for going into massive debt is, make sure you don't owe the banks but lots of small businesses who are fans. You can shaft them as they wont risk voting against you.The same happened at AFCB.
  21. I wish him luck.No doubt some of our fans will be going on their fan sites to try and turn the knife and start unfound rumours about his nightlife
  22. Wes Im sure that is fair, but also if you had read this site!!!!!! I must get Guinness book of records to get their stop watches out as it must be the longest burning of toast ever. AA and co...in fact the whole crew have pulled off a coup. How they managed to stop being wound up in Feb...oh I know have a firm of accountants in who find only half the debts, then when you get through that get another in who double the debts and still run rings around everyone, having a trip to the cup final and beating your biggest rivals in the meantime.
  23. I just looked back to page 250 on this thread. it makes interesting reading in fact it is like Groundhog day
  24. Well Chanria now has a half decent squad and club for a pittance. Now if you were a billionaire would you now risk 5-10m improving what you have to get back to the multi million pound riches of the PL, if not him the Ukrainians. it is not about infrastructure but having a presence in the PL that brings the money in. The CCC is as weak as it has been for many years with many clubs close to going pop.As i said it is all about timing and yet again it has fallen in Pompeys favour. Come on HMRC nows your chance to prove my doubts wrong
  25. I saw a clip of Dame Helen Mirren talking about BP and glad that we didnt beat the US at football.Sad that our own are happy to Brit bash just to keep their careers on the up
