  1. will the HMRC pick up on that?
  2. Mero how are you feeling today, confident? The HMRC don't from the little reported seem to be that special, but we are only getting snippets
  3. is that with a hammer as in a demolition one?
  4. Seems I was wrong Wurzel
  5. Thanks fo rclearing that up VFTT . I admit I am wrong and so apologies to one and all for misleading.
  6. So if they come out wityh an agreed CVA and the new owner (Chanrai) who we have been told has already been looked at for the FPPT gets his clearance the FL will keep its embargo in place. If so can you tell me on what grounds?
  7. no the reporter in court has to go outside to feed the info to another who then sends it
  8. I may be wrong Lol but if they exit with the agreed CVA tomorrow the FL will not be able to force the embargo.(that is my understanding) the 3 player thing will be not applicable and they can then sail on
  9. I hope you are right, Ashtead Saint gave me more confidence than the other feeds i saw. It said on the tv last night that HMRC slammed Chanrai as not fit and proper but i have not seen any other bits about that
  10. that's a good idea. We could also have a multiple choice question that the answer is texted in £1 a pop, for say a prize of a match ticket. The questions would be hard like they do on the ITV shows 'A banana split has what fruit in it?' a)Apple b) Pineapple c)Banana Of course most on here would be able to Google the answer of that one, and so we would have to make it a bit more obscure
  11. But Ginge it seems the thrust of the HMRC's case did not seem to be about the CVA. They have had their say and there were no big bombshells (in the stuff I have read so far)Pompey now can come out after reading the HMRC's points and defuse them. At this moment in time Pompey are smelling of roses, but it does depend to what the judge was speaking about when he said to them 'to go away and think about it'
  12. I still have confidence that there is a lot of knowledgeable posters on here, but they have in the main felt that Pompey/football clubs are treated the same as a normal business. it patently is not the case and if the judge did ask for info what would happen if they were liquidated, he feels that the community thing is an aspect and so may feel it is difficult to shut them down. Add to that the HMRC's lawyers not seeming to be up to scratch and they are going to get away scot free IMO. I assume they can come out of today with an agreed CVA, a new owner and then the ability to get players in. £5m extra investment and they could make the play-offs. That side they put out on saturday is the basis of s decent team IMO. Just watch HR flood them with loans.
  13. It was promotion in the Echo, by Ni and friends that there was going to be a fantastic party at a club by Wembley (JPT finalday), with top dj ex-players. On turning up it was disgrace, and IMO a rip off. They didnt have enough staff, i think the beer ran out and so they were selling cans at pump prices etc etc The event apparently was in conjunction with a Pompey fan who earned a big commission and brags about it. This is just a skirt around the day, look up in the archive about Silverspoons, there was a thread on it
  14. if it is a breach of contract I would have thought that solicitors would be first port of call not the Echo. It seems there is a large section of fans who won't be content until the club is destabilised again. I do not defend NC if he has broken a pledge but i also feel that yet again the facts may be slightly wrong. Why would Saints prefer to play Sutton than Eastleigh? the quality of opposition would be the same. I feel just as we are on an upward climb there are quite a few antagonists who are trying to rock the boat.
  15. If the judge has said to HMRC to think about it overnight, i will not be surprised if they withdraw before the court starts this morning. All the talk about the HMRC playing a blinder seems to have gone out of the window. Ashtead saint gave me a glimmer of hope that we may be reading it wrong but when i saw those words by the judge i felt the game was up. A barrister told me some time ago, you know as soon as a judge stops looking at you that you have lost, seems to me he has looked away. Interesting that Ho was viewing yesterday, he was waiting to come on and rub the salt into all those who told him they were goners. Please let me be wrong, but Pompey will...........
  16. Lol that is what i thought. What did they think that a court case was going to be about.
  17. Stu, im sorry but IMo it is pointless you adding to any NC thread,IMO you have an obvious agenda and seem to have made a crusade to try and dislodge him. I like your posts but on the NC subject you are too extreme to be taken seriously. All IMHO of course
  18. apparently he was on Talksport yesterday crowing how that the HMRC had little to go on and he was confident that Pompey would win
  19. Yep/
  20. Alps, I don't know if you have read Phil's post but if you do you will understand why the club have been caught out. It is fantastic news and I hope it may put an end to having shirt sponsors on the front.
  21. I think i may go and nick the 2 shirts i bought my daughters and put them on E-Bay. it would be interesting to see if i got a good profit
  22. MikeMorton ReadingPFC, not 'Pompey in Reading' by any chance Lol
  23. [Comment From BlueJay BlueJay : ] Thats what I was thinking Mat. They cant have a very strong case if they are now scrambling to give evidence. Next court case will be against HMRC for preventing us moving forward and possibly ruining the coming season! Don't they watch the movies, they always bring in last minute evidence to give an advantage.
  24. you should tell them that your mate is a court clerk and he has just txt you to say that Storrie has just asked if he can turn Queens evidence
