  1. Didn't he change his name to Kadeem or something like that?
  2. personally it does not matter if it is Cole or Walcott both play for other clubs than i support. I have seen Cole play in games for England and he does not rock my boat. Walcott is basically about pace, but that unsettles the best defenders in the world. They hang back a little and that makes room for things to happen, Cole will play his stuff out by the byeline and they will double up on him and he becomes ineffective, all IMHO of course. He has yet to make himself irreplaceable at chelski as well. I think it will be the same old England flattering to decieve and then go out with a whimper. I want to be wrong and accept Capello knows his stuff, but pace is king in modern football. ps i dont do uploading of clips of players. You can make the poorest look like MLT in a few seconds
  3. great goal in 2006, what does that prove?
  4. Both very quick but still different in their own way. Cole is not my cup of tea, yes we scoed from his cross saturday but it was going nowhere near an England player and we were fortunate.Football is about opinions, but i feel pace scares so many defenders and Walcott so nearly changed the game for Arsenal against barcelona with his directness and speed. The big teams like Germany Italy etc wont be fazed by Coles showboating Does it mean that gareth barry got in afterall? So much for no injury risks being picked
  5. it looks like brinkmanship has worked again
  6. I dont rate Joe Cole and he is very lucky to have been selected. He doesnt come form a fotballing family background and i dont think he has the passion for the game. Too much of an individual. Having Walcotts pace to scare defences if Lennon is not getting any luck would be ideal IMO
  7. you had points deduction but it was not a penalty. i will take a penalty like that if it means the club playing a team of internationals , wembley fa cup final appearances etc and then take the points deduction that made no effect either. You went down by 14 or 15 points and so no penalty. I know you are saying this tongue in cheek, it is shameful ( I was shamed when we stole from small businesses as well, not in your league though) that nobody seems to care except us who obviously want you to feel the pain as you are our rivals.Who has questioned the debt jumping from 60m when it went in front of the judge to 138 a few weeks later when it didnt matter as you had been reprieved.
  8. That could be the case, but if so why not immediately so he could get to the info before any of the computers emails etc could have been accidently damaged or destroyed? It has been months for any evidence of wrongdoing coulod have been lost.
  9. SFC has a large proportion of fans who live more than 10miles from the ground. penalising them with a booking fee is rong IMO.It is not a good start to the new season with a fair bit of resentment about
  10. Good, perhaps the more clued up how to, out there should start a Facebook group suggesting a boycott of israeli goods. It is about time that the Palestinians etc saw that the majority (IMo) dont support israels policy in the Middle East
  11. or Clouseau
  12. for the cup game it was a booking fee per ticket, that was piracy IMO
  13. i know it is a pathetic gesture and pointless, but i have asked my wife not to buy any israli product when shopping. Basically it will only be fresh fruit and vegetables. If more people do the same , in its own way it may hurt Israel a bit as we cant hurt them politically.
  14. Yes why would an FA functionary leave a very safe job and fill one that in theory could be liquidated. IMO it is all a massive cover up and too many people in powerful places are twitching at the thought of the info coming out into the open. Of course things and my opinion may change if the FL are tough on them.At present i dont think they will be , but i hope to be proved wrong. Even if Pompey get -10 or more they still have not had true justice, and as time goes by the penalty they receive our targets are getting lower. No mention of toast or BSL, but perhaps a 10 point penalty.
  15. i think if you read the fans charter that the club published last season, this could well be in dispute with that.
  16. Phil I'll await your thoughts on this one.He might become your neighbour
  17. I must say Phil has a fantastic insight into the middle east
  18. joining me and Dubai in thinking that there is a massive cover up going on to save many peoples ar###?
  19. It still does not really pin how the authorities are turning a blind eye to Pompeys lack of action regarding the debt.
  20. So did I. He rightly took umbrage with the fans on here having a go at the young players who had as no fault of their own been pushed too quickly into the first team. They did well and had we only won a couple of home games to match their good away form things may have been different.
  21. Oh, Lee Saint is not fat
  22. Im a socialist then. Unfortunatly this is then misused in supporting the wasters who only want to take and not give back anything. That is what frustrates me, so many socialists go on a crusade of believing they are doing good but all they do, not realising they are underpinning people not working and just drawing from society. It also is associated (rightly or wrongly ) with a politics of envy. I believe the middle ground or majority of people have the values you put in the paprgraph I have highlighted but sadly it spreads into other things that make people ride against it
  23. Funny that Pompey had an Israili manager who thought the same. Seriously though (or perhaps not) they know the US support them and so can do so, Obama gave the impression he would nit be quite so easy on them. We will see now what he is made of.
  24. anybody with an example of him dominating a game? I haven't seen any examples yet
  25. Master Bates doesnt post much anymore.I see him at SMS but he is rarely on here
