well if these players wages are to be reduced by signing others, it opens the doors to practically any decent footballer outside the top 4 clubs, as their wages are above most

and yours is any better Lol

Thanks for the apology

I did and still would have been happy. Look how he has transformed Forest

what is it that makes Pompey be able to get around the rules others do not. Salisbury, Bournemouth Luton have been left to the dogs, wheras Pompey seem to get special dispensation. No doubt it will be Buffon, Ronaldo, and Messi to fill the spots.

Im flabbergasted that he said that about 1940!!!! The Mail will soon put him right

I don't think you should be plastering the HMRC's officers name on the internet. There are skates who come on here and he could be subject to a lot of abuse

Hutch a lot of work went into your post.Very interesting and I truly hope that the HMRC are doing as you say and not that you are a lot brighter than them and they don't realise the faults in AA's work. Top stuff

clubs that are solent and trading normally yes, but in Pompeys case they seem to be offloading players with the sole intention of getting their squad below 20 so they can then thwart the FL rules. In doing so they are making players redundant who may not normally be so, due to this stunt

any chance of a tsunami hitting Scotland and going down the east coast? -
Defence costs have to be cut , period. Another case of massive wastage. The armed forces budget must be slashed. Again not in the frontline but the backroom staff.
-
so are the FL going to give them special dispensation to get a keeper in.What have the PFA said in all this.Pompey apparently allowing players to go and putting them on the dole so they can get better in.(I do realise that James was out of contract, but generally speaking about the offloading of players)

I fully expect to lose to Bournemouth in 1 of the games against us this season.Their fans desperately want to make us to think that they are our rivals. I do hope our fans don't let it happen. It will annoy them more if we don't respond.Job done

'I could do without being out here so I can ask a few questions and get to the bottom of a few things.' end quote Surely Cotterill is not alluding to the case that he may have been misled. First Avram and now him Lol

Stu, on this occasion i think you have been proved wrong. There is no shame in that. In an economy with the uncertainty in the jobs market, high fuel prices , inflation starting to raise its head, etc etc it is a credit that we have indeed increased ticket sales. You will of course point to promotion certainties (I dont believe we are) but last season we had the new regime and a wonderful feeling of cleansing and that bolstered our sales then. If the club happened to make a decent signing that made us sit up then i can see us getting quite a few more fans get tickets.

Rock Hudson was married.

do you know how much the players are being charged? I think at one stage businesses were going to be charged more council tax if they had parking spaces.Im not sure if that went through though

have been away for a min break and so only back in today. Nugent sums it up when he says 'Nobody has come in for him he is going to sit on his big contract and then be a free agent next summer.Nothing about wanting to play for Pompey IMO. I notice that some seem still think Pompey have not got away with it. IMO unless they are wiped out they have. They have had 5 wembley appearances a trip to Europe and watched a team of internationals. if their penalty is -9 and an appeal for something a top administrator thinks will fail, and at the same time they can rebuild their squad by using a dodge I still believe they will/have got away with it. At this moment in time, they are still going along swimmingly. The FL seem to be as bending for them as the PL were, why? I agree that Sonko's deal has not as yet been rattified, but I would have thought it would be stopped immediately if the FL had shown any negative vibes. Look at the difference to how Salisbury ,Luton, Rotherham, Bounremouth have been treated and there seems to be a massive diference

I think there was a thread last season about staff losing their free parking at SMS and had to catch a bus etc. Any of the low paid staff i feel for but all the players on very high wages??? The salisbury hospital is charging the staff to park, now they are a different case IMO. If the players start to resent the chairman, that in turn upsets their mindset is not good i suppose, but it hardly is life changing for them.I assume Nc will have to pay as well
-
I think I read that NC was away and so was surprised we signed any player.I do agree to a degree that if the season starts with the same line up we have now i will be disappointed. We cannot rely on RL to score as many as last season and another mobile ball winning CM would be a top priority IMO. Watching Damned united last night seeing how Clough and Taylor transformed Derby with some shrewd signings. Whether those type of players are still around Im not sure but having an eye for a talented player in a poor side and buying them certainly worked for them.

i would think that NI has no reason to ever be in position to lecture on ripping people off after the Silverspoon event last season
-
I dont think in the current financial situation this country is in, that you can expect S/T sales to be higher. If the club get close to last years figures, that will be credit to them. Last season we had very low prices and a new hope with new owners with fans getting the feelgood factor again. The club seem to be running a system of keeping certain information in house. i dont see as a privately owned business why they need to give the info out. They are on a no win situation if they do

no problem she's not a relative or anything like that
