The talk of PFCtrust FC has gone it seems, and the BSL seems a dsitant prediction. Most seem to believe that they will now be in CCC next season and now await what punishment, in minus points are served up. To me it is not fair punishment. Perhaps we are all waiting for the post cup final actions.

That is a fair position to take, and you have now made your position clear

I have a premonition that Fordy wil be in the away side... Lol. I can see it in the tea leaves. As for people wanting to play 90 inutes I agree they should be made aware how tiring it is on that pitch. I do hope they are youngsters not oldies as my bench is already depleted. Anyway it is a fun night and lets hope both teams compete fairly like last season and we get a close game

Lol, I hope that the gossip my frend had was not current but beofre the JPT success, where i believe things have improved. Their greeting after the game (NC AP ) was very public.

I dont doubt Lowe was in contact with the FL, but top lawyers would also be a top priority as Barclays had pushed us into a corner by reducing the overdraft a second time in 6 months, hence the imminent likely hood of us going into administration. Neither of us will change our opinion on how this proceeded, but i do notice how guarded you are in not coming forward with a full endorsement of AP. Keeping your powder dry for the next couple of bad results you can wheel out Lol.

well contact Granty and get a place. Last season i was a 'Lowe luvvie' Lol and n0o problems at all. In fact our much respected Fos1 came over gave me some friendly stick ,and the banter went on all night and still does. You would no doubt get some banter but who cares, if you give it you have to be prepared to take it. Granty has done well to get this on again this year and I suggest it is a lifetime memory and madness to miss out.

Fos was talking about turning out for us, did he not come forward? He would have been a good recruit to make the night interesting. Can you give an update of the sides then Steve please and their times on the pitch. As it is a fun night and all will enjoy themselves I hope that my depleted squad (as in numbers ) will be able to last.

Alps , 'a STORY on here ' he told Salz. Ah there is a man who was our saviour Lol. I dont want to go back and go over all the old ground so please do not distort the past to try and get 1 up on SOG. RL did things the correct way legally and was assured by top London Lawyers that the -10 point penalty was not enforceable, due to the way the company was set up. Those top lawyers obviously did not factor in the FL's ability to play with the rules to suit and threaten expulsion or further penalties if we did try.Add to the fact that the legal case would have run and run and we may not have ever got a buyer and so been wound up. At the end of the day we came out in a fantastic shape, I doubt anyone would argue that, but watching the Pompey situation where they seem to have gone about everything the wrong way and against all fair and normal accounting ways. Perhaps we should have done the same and bent every rule in the book. As a worrying aside, i had contact with a friend who is involved in the FL and he said you wont make propmotion this season, but walk it next.....but with a different manager. When pressed he would not say why.

I havent seen it posted elsewhere but Gary Oneill played for Boro so doesw that mean that Pompey have got the £1m ?

If we take the bait and bite back they will think thye have a meaning to life. Let them call us scummers, let their fans come on here giving us the big one but look at it like the Isle of Man trying to get a rivalry going with England. They will give it the big one but they get crowds less than 5000 k in a good season. As soon as their manager is taken they will drop back again to having a row with Weymouth fans about who is bigger,
-
They think he will be in the shop window.

I feel the same way but the perseption is different. With wall to wall news parents don't let thier kids on the streets, drive them to school in case a bogey man is around. i went to school by myself and amtes , never driven and that was just after Hindley and brady had been doing thier terrible crimes....although i do remember my mum and dad leaving me on the Moors and tel;ling me to try and find some friends

Is that correct?? I thought he has sympathies to the BNP but that does neccessarily make him rascist. The trouble is so many people just put a broad brush over these things. The BNP obvioulsy do suit a lot of peoples opinions and like any of the ultra left wing parties they have a right to voice their opinions. One thing that has always amused me is that the Socialists stand up for freedoms but are the most likely to call for that same thing to be taken away from their opponents. They believe they are right, when if you really think about it all animals first thought is survival for themselves and children first, not the greater good.

Crime figures may show a fall but I think the population dont feel as safe. It is a perseption, add to that, that many crimes do not get reported as the Police dont tun up or show lack of interest. Example in my own business, a person came into my busiess and snatched an item of value , my wife chased him (fortunately she did not catch him) whilst in pursuit she called the Police. they never turned up and we are still waiting. Much pettty crime is not reported and I suggest vandalism etc also. You do realise that a police officer giving out a speeding ticket is put down as a solved crime, and added to all the figures. We as a population are bombarded with facs and figures that are distorted to suit whoever. No politician tells it as it is, and my biggest criticism of the Liberal would be his constant mention of honesty to both Cameron and brown.

Thanks as well, what a great bunch we have on here.
-
I take that back then VFTT
-
Thanks BTF, i did realise about the PVC thingy, and know you can't use those. It would be so easy if so, but im not out to destroy our heritage, especially as my business is about conserving it.
-
Superb start thanks. It would be ideal if someone from here had a company that did it. The Totton 1 does ring a bell as I lived that way 10years or so ago.
-
and that's from somebody who voted Labour, once could be seen as a msitake (even Brown admitted to one) but 2 or 3 times and you think Im not very bright Lol

Thanks

Can anyone recommend a good joiner/joinery company as Im looking into costings re a Grade 2 listed farmhouse I may offer on. Most of the the windows need replacing (17) (some are Crittle steel, hideous) and I wanted a ball park price. Each one is obviously custom made as the sizes are all different..

At least Boom and bust was a thing of the past .........ohhh

The figure in the SOA could not have been plucked out of the air . Was it 78m then I can't recall exactly as so many changes in the debt seem to be published
