I have never been a serviceman but I bloody well am proud of them and when they walked around SMS last season I stood and showed the respect they deserve. I do agree neither should be sung about saturday but i do know who would get the best responce if it happened.

If JH had not been struck down by a terrible illness is he one of the people you would ask a youngster to use as a role model? Your point about our luck being healthy etc is pertinent of course.I still will not join in, and Im sure the majority of fans who do not come on this site will turn around and say 'what the F are we singing about him for' As for showing we are class fans, i should think there are better ways of showing it.Sadly our reputation has been tarnished since the Cup final when we stayed behind and cheered our team and clapped the opposition.That is still something that other fans do not do in the quantity we did. The Skates booed during TB's minutes silence but the media brushed that under the carpet and are seen as great fans.

Sorry but what relevance has John Hartson to us? I'm all for being decent but singing about a player is a bit odd to say the least. I would rather we sung there is one Naomi House. if he does pass away then if football decides to have a minutes silence i will adhere to it, but singing his name is a little ridiculous.
